“I can’t believe she was serious about the punishment,” Daisy grumbled, staring at the giant piles of clothes before her.

Peach had taken out all of the orange and yellow clothes and accessories that Daisy owned (only the ones that had more of those colors than any other color). Daisy never really wore any other colors, so she had been left with an almost-completely empty closet. Even her undergarments were mostly orange and yellow!

Peach had also dropped off a lot of new clothes for Daisy and they were mostly colored anything BUT orange or yellow.

“What will I wear now?” Daisy sighed. She was going to meet Mario and Toad at a shopping village to hang out.

Yoshi was also invited, but he was busy today. Instead, he and Toadette had made plans to go to Smiley Shrooms, a giant indoor playground.

Daisy decided to wear a turquoise shirt and pink sweats. She put on a pair of white running shoes. This is so not like me, Daisy thought.

Just when Daisy was ready to go, she saw Mario park his car outside her mansion. Daisy quickly went outside and entered the car.

"Well, you look different today," Mario stated.

"Don't remind me," Daisy muttered.

"Oh, but it's so weird!" Toad was seated shotgun in the car. He turned to face Daisy.

"Aww, you won't have a salary till August!" Daisy taunted.

"Guys, shut up! We're doing this so you two can try to enjoy yourselves despite your punishments," Mario said. Daisy and Toad obeyed, knowing they should acknowledge Mario's kindness.

Soon, the three friends had arrived at the Fire Flower Shopping Village. It had just opened recently and Mario, Daisy, and Toad had never been there before. Immediately, Toad saw a very functional messenger bag on display in a bag store. He immediately rushed in. Mario and Daisy looked at each other, then followed Toad.

"How much is that?" Toad asked a salesperson and pointed to the bag.

"120 coins," the salesperson answered.

"I'll buy that bag," Toad stated, heading to the cashier.

"Hey, remember that you won't be getting a salary until August," Mario whispered. "Use the money you have wisely." Toad's smile immediately became a frown.

"Oh yeah... Never mind," he grumbled, exiting the store with Mario and Daisy at his heels.

"I hate this punishment," Toad said.

"I hate mine, too," Daisy replied.

The friends went to the food court and bought shawarmas. Then, they explored the shopping village and visited a few shops.

After a half hour of walking around, Daisy saw one of her favorite shops- Green Shell Sports.

"Oh! I wanna go in!" she exclaimed, dragging Mario and Toad behind her. They looked around inside the shop for a few minutes. Then, Daisy noticed several pairs of orange sport shorts.

"Ahh! I need this!" Daisy squealed, taking a pair of shorts that was her size. She skipped to the cashier. Mario and Toad hurried after Daisy.

"No orange or yellow stuff, remember?" Mario reminded Daisy.

"Ugh, you're such a killjoy," Daisy groaned, returning the shorts to where she got them.

"Well, it would be pointless to buy it because Peach will check your closet every day and remove all of the stuff that are mostly orange or yellow," Toad pointed out.

"Peach overreacted this time," Daisy said.

"I know right," Toad agreed.

The three friends continued to go around the shopping village and Mario continued to attempt to make Daisy and Toad happy.

This chapter is basically a continuation of the chapter before it- Prank War. Hope you enjoyed reading this! Do you think Mario was trying to be nice or trying to taunt his friends? It depends on how you see it! I put a pic of Toad crying (about not getting a salary) in the multimedia. Oh yeah and today is the summer solstice right? Anyways pls add, comment, vote, etc. Thanks!
