The games begin

The luggage bag was fully packed with all the necessary items. At least I guess it was.

"I'm really going to miss you mum." I said barely above a whisper.

"Sweety, I'm only leaving for a few days I already promised you that I'll be back before your birthday."

"I know mum but you know I hate being all alone."

"Well you won't be alone."She said.

"I don't understand." I said.

"You'll see. I have to go now or I'll miss my flight. I love you sweety and please don't leave the house without a bodyguard okay."She warned.

" I love you too mum."

She pulled me into a warm embrace and left.

"Great I'm all alone now." I mumbled.

Just then I heard the sound of the doorbell. I just wonder who it could be I thought.

I rushed down the stairs and went straight to open the door.

"Maria Fernanda!!!!!!!"

"You guys. What you are doing here?"I said astonished.

I felt a wave of happiness rush through me. Standing in front of me were my three best friends.

" What we don't get a hug."Natalya said.

"Of course you do."

I pulled them into a tight hug. We embraced each other for a few minutes.

"I missed you guys so much."

"We missed you too" Caitlin said with tears in her eyes. She had always been the emotional one.

"Yeah we should go in I felt like someone was watching us on our way here." Misty said.

Natalya rolled her eyes.

"Don't mind her she's just being paranoid as usual. She said.

" I still can't believe you guy's are here."

"Come on Fer you didn't actually think we would miss your birthday did you?"Cait said.

"Anyways we have planned something special for you today. Call it an early birthday gift."

"Which is?" I asked.

"Well, since your mom is on a trip. You will be going on your first visit to a club." Nat said.

"A What?. You know I can't do that."I said

" Yes you can and you will. Fer please don't be a kill joy." She said. They all looked at me with with pleading eyes.

"Fine you know I can't refuse you. But no alcohol."

"Deal. Okay so tell us what insane thing you are doing for your birthday this time." Misty asked.

"Well I'm not telling you guys because this one is gonna be mega. But I'll tell you as soon as I do it. I said.

"But not a second later okay."

"Deal." I said.

"Now let's pick out what to wear and then we can chat."

My phone rings, stopping our conversation.

"Hello.....,ok" I said

"There's a package for me downstairs I'll be back."

I went down to collect the package from one of the bodyguards.

"Hand it over Gerrard."

"Sorry Miss but I have to open it myself. It is my duty to protect you."

"Fine." I groaned.

He opened it slowly with a  knife. For about two years I've been living my life hiding from an unknown person. My mum knows who it is but I don't. Since then I've been doing any dangerous thing I could think of. Thus the tradition of doing something special on my birthday because who knowns if this person is a killer it could be my last.

He finished opening the package and brought out a beautiful diamond bracelet and a letter.

I read the letter out loud.

"For my Darling, Fernanda. Happy birthday in advance. Love you always.

"I just don't understand who this person could be. I said."

I couldn't take it anymore. I had to find out the identity of this person ASAP.
