Day with Soda

I was woken up by my mom and her boyfriend arguing again. I get up and put on a black flannel and shorts and go to the kitchen to find something to eat. I hear someone knocking at the door but before I could get to it my mom opened it. "Hi I'm Rebel is Renah awake?" She asks. "I'm in here!" I yell from the kitchen. I get up and head for the door before my mom could stop me and ask me questions. "Bye mom I'll see you later." I say hugging her. Once we started walking to her house rebel breaks the silence. "I think soda likes you." She says. "What? no he doesn't.'' I say. "Ricky yes he does did you not see the way he was acting around you yesterday." She says. "How?" I ask. "When you came out of the car he couldn't take his eyes off of you, when he kept flirting with you, and the fact that he walked you home when you live next to us." She said. "He was just being nice." I say while opening the gate to her house. We go inside her house to find Ponyboy and Johnny sitting on the couch smoking. "Hey Rebel hey...Ricky is it?" Johnny asked. "Yeah..where's mom and dad?" Rebel asks. "Work. Did you tell Ricky what soda said about her?" Pony asked. "What?! What did he say? Was it bad?" I asked anxiously. "Calm down Ricky he was just saying how pretty your smile is and how beautiful you are." Johnny says. "I looked over at Rebel and I could feel my face turning red. "Told you he likes you." She says laughing. "Hey Steve and soda are back!" Darry said coming out of the hallway. I turn around to see nothing but an empty driveway. "So jumpy" Darry said while laughing. I looked at Rebel and she was laughing at me. "Not funny reb." I said hitting her playfully. "It is you were so scared." She said. After a few minuets I heard Johnny say soda was behind me. "I'm not falling for that again." I said laughing. "You wanna bet?" Said soda. I jumped a little when I heard him. "So jumpy aren't you?" Soda asked smiling. "You should of seen her earlier we told her you were pulling into the drive way and she got scared." Rebel said to soda. "Don't worry I don't bite...hard." He told me while winking at me. I was blushing like an idiot when he winked God he's so damn fine. "Rebel I'm gonna borrow Renah for a little." He said while putting his arm around my waist and heading towards the door. "Have fun!" Rebel yells. "Hey don't get her pregnant!" Steve yells jokingly. We get in his car and start to drive away from the house. "So where are we going?" I ask trying to calm myself down cause I'm alone with this sexy beast. "Don't know yet..You want to go get some icecream?" He asks looking at me. "Yeah sure." I say. We get to dairy queen and we order 2 chocolate icecream cones. "So what do you think of the gang?" He asks. "I like them they're cool." I say. "Yeah I see you and my sister became friends real quick." He said laughing. "Yeah I didn't think I would make a lot of friends the first day I came here." I said. "Well the future has some weird surprises for us." He said smiling at me. "Yeah..I guess it does." I said smiling at him. "You have a pretty smile." He said. God he keeps making me blush it's crazy. "Thanks." I said. "You have a nice face and body". I said in my head. "So your mom is she like a cool mom or a bitchy mom?" He said starting the car back up. "She's a cool mom but she asks to many questions but all moms do that." I said. "Yeah I know my mom can be like that sometimes but I love her. We drive back to sodas house and I found out that two-bit and Steve said if I'm gonna be part of their gang I have to go through an initiation. "Ok fine what do I have to do?" I asked. I see Steve reach in his pocket to get a lighter and a cigarette. "The initiation is to see if you can handle the smoke." Steve says. "You don't have to do it renah they're just assholes." Darry said. I took the cigarette and lighter and took a few hits. "Alright you're one of us now!" Two-bit said cheerfully.
