"I want you to keep this to remember me by. I know that you're going overseas so, here," The little boy said handing me a necklace.
I looked down at it a bit confused.
"Where's the other part?" I asked and he held up a necklace that had a missing part too.
"You're the best friend a guy could have." I don't want you to forget about me." He said sadness coating his eyes.
I looked down at the necklace with a smile before I gave him a hug.
"Jennie honey, we have to go! We're going to miss our flight!" My mom said as she got into the car.
I turned back to the little boy and gave him one last hug.
"I promise you one day, we'll see each other again soon," I said giving him a small smile and he nodded.
I ran over to the car and drove off with my parents, leaving the little boy on the sidewalk. I looked back at him one last time and waved goodbye. I promise I'll come back one day.
*11 years later*
"Yes, dad I'm safe. Don't worry too much about me I'll be fine. It's not like it's my first time being away. Okay, I promise to call you every day. I love you too. Bye." I said hanging up my phone.I can't believe that it's been eleven years since I've last been here. It seems so foreign to be back here but it also has a warm welcoming aroma.
As I walked out of the airport and waited for my ride to get here, I felt like I was being watched. But as I looked around, all I saw was either people rushing out of the airport, on their phones, or greeting their friends and loved ones. I shook off the feeling and pulled out my phone again to see the time, but as I did, someone bumped into me.
"Hey watch where you're going," I said as I looked at the figure.
The stranger turned around only to reveal a handsome guy that didn't look that much older than me. He had a black hoodie that was pulled over his head, but I still could tell that he had dyed blond hair. He looked over at me almost as if he was either studying me or trying to figure out if he knew me from somewhere cause I was doing the same. He looked familiar but I don't know from where. As he continued to study me, someone yelled which broke our connection. After a few minutes of standing there and looking at each other, someone called out to someone in our direction. We both broke eye contact to see a group of six guys looking over at us. I looked confused for a second until I realized that they were calling over the guy that was standing in front of me. He looked at me one last time before he jogged over to his friends who were staring at me.
Not long later, there was a car honking its horn and I saw that it was one of my best friend Rosé.
"Hey, there hot stuff! Sorry, I'm a bit late. I got caught up in traffic." She said walking around the car to come over to hug me.
"It's fine. I just got out here. I forgot how busy the airport can get." I said as I pulled her away from the hug and gave her a smile.
"Okay let's get out of here. The others can't wait to see you. They kept asking me when you were going to move here after we left Florida two years ago," She said as she packed all of my luggage in the back of the car.
I let out a small chuckle as I helped her with my last bag. Before I got into the car, I saw the guy that bumped into me still looking at me. When he saw that I saw him looking at me, he looked away and jumped into the truck that had all of his friends and drove away. Why do I feel like I've seen him before?
Yoongi:
"How did everything go?" Namjoon asked once we all got into the truck and drove away from the airport.
"Well, they still don't like the idea of having to move to Jeju knowing that their home back in Daegu is being watched," I said rubbing my face out of frustration.
"Well, it is for their own safety. Your mom still doesn't know anything about what's happening right?" Jin asked.
"No, she doesn't. My dad doesn't want her to know anything related to Bangtan or the things that we do," I said looking out of the window at the buildings and cars passing by.
"It is for the best that she's kept in the dark about this. I mean having your dad knows about what we do is already dangerous enough as it is," Namjoon said as he continued to drive.
"So how was everything while I was gone?" I ask still looking out of the window.
"Well, the kids caused a bit of a ruckus, but nothing that we couldn't handle," Jin said, shaking his head at the memory.
"Why what happened?" I ask curious on what had happened.
"There were some punks that ganged up on our maknae. Bambam, Lisa, Yugyeom, and a couple others tried helping him, but somehow made it worst. So some of our older guys had to step in," Hoseok said shaking his head too.
"Hey we could've taken them without your guys help, thank you very much," Jungkook said with an annoyed look.
"Hey you may be the groups most skilled sniper, but if you can't control that temper and mouth of yours, your just asking for it," Jin said as he looked back at him with a warning tone.
"I'm just surprised that Lisa is rolling with the guys now. I remember when she first joined, she wouldn't leave Rosé and Jisoo's side," I said with a small chuckle.
"Well ever since that her and bambam found out about knowing each other ever since they were kids, they never left each other side. It's like they're actually stronger together," Namjoon said with an awe tone.
After a while, the conversations died down and we all rode in silence with only the radio playing lowly and the rapid typing coming from Hoseok who was sitting beside me filled the car.
"I swear if you don't slow down you're going to break that laptop and we won't buy you another one," Jin said while he looked at the road in front of us.
"You try being the tech guy for a change and I can patch up the members," Hoseok said as he stopped typing.
"No!" Everyone in the car yelled out and a couple voices coming from the Hoseok's ear piece.
After a few minutes of Hoseok grumbling how we don't appreciate his work as much as we should, he stopped.
"Hey boss, I just got word from Yugyeom and Mark on Rome and his men." Hoseok said, eyes locked on the computer that was on his lap as he kept on typing and talking to our team with his ear piece.
"What are they up to? One day they just disappear and the next thing you know they show up again. Can't they just make it easier on us and just attack already?" Jin whined as he turned around to look at me and Hoseok.
"Well as always they're going to be up to no good. And knowing Rome, he's going to want to take his precious time to plan everything perfectly. Call in Jisoo and BM to take over. Tell them to call if anything goes down or if something goes wrong. We'll send them backup." I said looking over at Hoseok and he nodded signaling that he understood.
"What do we do in the mean time boss?" Namjoon asked looking at me through the rear view mirror.
"We got work to do."
