Dear diary

I was finally able to get nose out of a book and try another hobby.

Mostly, it's been mindless sketching. If my daughter, Virginie, could just stay still for FIVE minutes, maybe I'd be able to do something worthwhile.

That girl worries me sometimes... She's always been delicate in every since of the word. She gets sick easily and I can recall a time from when she was seven when her brother, Georges, was teasing her slightly and she burst into tears.

I'm glad she prefers being called "Virginie" instead of Marie Antoinette. I don't want her to get hurt by someone else's actions.
