Edward makes the decision to leave Katnis after he almost lost control of himself.
Katnis is hurt, heart broken even, by his departure but she understands why he left. He wanted to protect her from himself.
One month after The Cullen's leave Forks...
After Bella returned home crying, Katnis was quick on her feet to go and find Jacob but Bella convinced her to wait until tomorrow....so she did.
It was Saturday and she couldn't wait to get her hands on that boy. She quickly hopped onto her bike and took off down the road at an alarming speed.
"Slow down, please." The voice said.
"Get the hell out of my head." She growled.
"You're going to hurt yourself." The voice said before a fading hand appeared over hers.
She looks to her right to see a fading image of Cullen in the seat next to her. He looked broken and worried.
Serves him right. She thought as she turned down a dirt road that was a straight shot to Jake's.
The moment she pulls up, she notices that Sam and his pack of groupies are out behind Jakes house, so she jumps off her bike and quickly makes her way around the house to where they are.
As soon as she spots him, she runs at Sam. "What did you do, huh? What the he'll did you do to him?" She hissed, pushing him.
"Hey!" Paul snapped.
"Piss off, Paul, before I have you running away like a dog with its tail between its legs." She hissed.
"Hey, easy." Sam said, putting space between the two.
"Watch it!" yelled Embry.
Katnis glared at every single last one of them. "What the hell did you make him do? He didn't want this!" She growled, hitting Paul in the chest.
"Ow! But we do? What did he do, hmm? What? Did he tell you?" Paul glared at her.
"Both of you! Calm down." Sam ordered, holding Paul back by his arm.
Katnis ignores him and she pushes past Sam and gets into Paul's face. "Nothing! He tells me nothing because he's scared of you arrogant bastards!"
Paul begins to laugh, along with Jared and Embry and that pissed Katnis all the way off.
She becomes angry and suddenly slaps Paul across the face. "You son of a bitch!"

Jared shook his head. "It's a little too late now. Katnis get back."
