I was heading to school wearing just plain old joggers with a long sleeve black shirt and adidas high tops with my hair in a messy bun when I heard something coming from down stairs. "What going on?" I asked speeding down stairs and seeing Damon and Klaus. "Damon is saying he is your mate. When he is not. Kol is" Klaus says mad in his eyes, "Kol wasn't my mate.... I have yet to find who my mate will be" I say looking at him. "And I know you aren't mine, but something talks me like Bonnie saying something about me having a mate but I just don't know who.... Elena is supported my mate and I love her and she is in a coma for 30 something years because of stupid Kai. "Oh well I'm supposed to be at school" I say vamp speeding into someone. "Umm.. So is everyone in this town vampires. Dang I need to be one to match everyone but of course my friends Damon and Bonnie wouldn't like that." Some guy said "I'm sorry but who are you" I ask "oh I'm kai. " he says with a smile so white and clear. "Oh well I just found out my mate doesn't want it be with me so now I'm heartbroken.. hey wanna come to New York with me.. Just be aware I might kill you if you are too annoying" I say pointing to him. He serenaders with his hands in the air and says he will come with me. I grab his hand and vamp speed him to New York. "Welcome to the big apple"

Damon's POV
I love Elena but I know she isn't my mate. And when I told Skyler that Elena was my mate she was heartbroken, I could see it in her eyes. And I knew I had to give up my relationship with Elena so I don't lose my mate Skyler. Ugh she disappeared after I told her that and now no one can find her. "She is missing where the hell can she be" Stefan said on his phone. "Well maybe if you got off your phone we could find her" I say yelling. Stefan looks at me and laughs running away. Scaredy Vamp. Klaus said something about having a ball because he was going to bring Kol and Finn back by having a witch bring back their mom. I knew Skyler's love for Kol was gone the moment he died. So I was going to tell Skyler how I felt hoping the chance in loving her for a life time didn't go down the drain.

We have been in New York for over 48 hours. I have been texting Klaus that I'm ok, in New York, and have a friend. It was so early in the morning that I could nearly hear the doorbell ring. I opened the door picking up a piece of paper and closing the door turning to face an awake kai. I opened it and it read, ' Please join the Mikaelson family for a ball with cocktails and appetizers. Join the family with presets for our brothers Kol and Finn and our mother Ester for their return" I about died and was scared of the words that came from my mouth without thinking. "We're going"
