Skyler's POV Me and Kai went around New York buying outfits for the ball. Me and Kai decided to go Mystic falls and get ready there. *** I went into the bathroom of the room Kai got for us at a motel for the ball. I took a shower and got dressed.

I changed my sunlight ring to a different one for the ball since I can do the spell. I let my blonde curls fall and let them be. I came out of the bathroom and saw Kai in a tux. "Hi" he says with his smirk. I say hi back and put on my heels. He leads me to the car and we drive to the Mikaelson Mansion. *** Damon's POV I can't believe Kol is going to be brought back to life. His body is burnt so I don't know how this would work. Caroline was my plus one so I went with her. I though we were the last ones when the door opened and got my attention. I saw Skyler in a beautiful purple dress but she was with Kai. I growled and Caroline noticed. "If she wants you she would be with you give it some time and wait for her even thought I would rather you with Elena." Caroline says walking to Bonnie. I sigh and drink some champagne. *** Skyler's POV I noticed Damon getting mad with Kai with me. I sigh and walk up to Klaus. "Hello love. We have been missing you" Klaus says hugging me. I smile and kiss his cheek. "I didn't know I was cared for. Normally no one cares. Thank you. " I say smiling "Love, I have to go to the stairs with Elijah and Rebekah for the announcement" Klaus said walking away. "And now I'm alone" I say grabbing champagne and drink it in one gulp. I look at the stairs and meet the eyes I once feel in love with but now feel nothing for. I smile at him and walk away to Kai. "Thank you all for joining my family for the return of my brothers Kol and Finn and my mother Ester, Please grab a glass of champagne for a toast to them" Klaus said holding up his glass and drank it. I don't because I could careless. After the announcement, Klaus leads Kol, Finn, and Ester near me. I vamp speed to them. "Well well, the mother of my ex boyfriend. I shall call you the wicked witch of the west. Kol, ex boyfriend I shall call you lonely" i laugh. "Oh and can't forget Finn. The son who was always up the wicked witches ass, I shall call you the wicked witch of the ass sniffer. Sorry little humor" I say smirking. Kol looks at me with disbelief. "What's gotten into you, darling?" He asks me "oh let's see I am heartbroken because my boyfriend died then I find out I have found my mate and he doesn't want me and I just have no emotion so awesome right?" I say while smirking. Kai comes up and kisses my cheek. I hit his arm. "What did I say?" I say as a hold his arm over his head "No kissing because you love someone else sorry" He says as I let go. We laugh and I kiss his cheek. "I was being harsh I'm sorry" I say looking back to Klaus and his brothers with his mom. I turn away winking at Kai leaving him behind going up to Mat. "Hey blue eyes how is everyone" I asked. And we just chatted the night away. *** Damon's POV I heard her making names up for Klaus family. I laughed and went outside and saw Kol vamp speed into me. "Watch the suit" I say whipping it off. " sorry mate, did you know Skyler wasn't my mate? Do you know who that is?" Kol asked me. I look at the ground. I think he put two and two together because he punched me. "You are her mate!?!?" He yelled punching again. Before I could do anything someone grabbed his hand and threw him in the air. "DON'T TOUCH HIM OR I KILL YOU" Skyler yelled with her hands in fists. Kol scoffs and leaves. "You knew" she turned to me with teary eyes. "What?" I ask "you knew you were my mate?" She asks again "yes" I say low to where she can't hear me but she did "you knew I am your mate and yet you made me believe Im nothing because I am in love with you and you made me feel like I didn't matter to you because you told me dead in the eyes you loved Elena. It physically hurt me" she says with hurt in her eyes. I try to grab her and comfort her but she backs away. "Please. I'm sorry." I say staring into her green eyes. Her eyes showed love but yet hurt. "I'm sorry but I just I need to leave. Please don't talk to me. I need to figure things out. " she says leaving. I sigh and vamp home. *** Skyler's POV I go to the front of the house about to get in the car when Kol comes over and slaps me in the face. I look at him and grab his hair slamming his head into the car and face plant him into the ground. He gets up and grabs my arm squeezing it. "LET ME GO!" I scream pulling him off me making him go in the air. I see Stefan and Kai in front of me. "I wouldn't do that. You should leave" Stefan says. I grab my face and realize I'm bleeding. I hear footsteps and see Klaus. "What the bloody hell happened?" Klaus says with wide eyes coming to me "Kol slapped me because I found my mate or whatever and he bruises my arm" I say picking up my arm. Kai grabs me and puts me in the car seeing Klaus ripping out Kol's heart and Stefan ripping his head off. I don't look back and we drove back to New York. *** Sorry if this is too long.
