Skyler's POV Someone was knocking on the door so I answered it. I saw Klaus. "What do you want hybrid?" I asked him annoyed. "Someone is here for you" he said pointing to Damon. I look into Damon's ocean blue eyes as he walks to the door. "Wh--what are you doing here?" I asked holding back my tears. "I came to get my mate so I could love her like I should" he said grabbing my waist. I put my hands around his neck and put my fingers through his hair then.. our lips touched. It felt like fireworks and bombs. We let go. "Please come back with us" Damon said grabbing ahold of my hand. "I--I can't." I said pulling away. "Why" Klaus said coming closer. "Because he loves Elena. I will only get in the way. " I say going back inside. "No I love you and only you please" Damon said pleading. "I'm sorry. I just... I just can't" I say shutting the door and vamp speeding to my room. I get changed into my pjs. I flopped on my bed and began crying. *** Damon's POV I knew she wanted to be with me. I could see it in her eyes. I start walking when the door opened. "You guys can come in. I will get her" Bella said as we all enter going and sit down on the couch. "So which one of you are my little girls mate?" Edward asks. I rise my hand. He nods his head as Skyler comes down in a big shirt and a messy bun. Her eyes where blood shot red from crying. I stood up. "Please don't cry." I say grabbing her cheek. She looked into my eyes. "You need to leave." She said walking away from my hand and sat on the couch. "What why. Darling, you need to come home" Kol spoke up grabbing her hand. She got scared. "Don't touch me or I will kill you. You need to leave NOW!" She said as her eyes starting to turn red. She was getting mad. "Kol leave her the fuck alone. You already slapped her so STOP TOUCHING HER" I yelled at him as Klaus broke his neck. Everyone looked and Kol was out in the floor, Stefan brought him to the car. " please Skyler come back with us. I promise you I love you not Elena. " I say pleading even more. She was about to give in but didn't. "Please leave." She asked looking away from us. I sigh. "Fine but I love you and know I will wait for you to accept it" I say as we all vamp speed to the car and drive away. I was heartbroken. *** Skyler's POV It has been two days since Damon's been to my house and I want to see him so bad. He told me he loved me and me being me declined him. Me being stupid was thinking, 'he doesn't love you ' when really he is my mate he does love me. I sigh and take a shower and get dressed.

It was freezing outside. Yay winter. I went down stairs and saw my bag packed. I smiled. "You didn't have to" I say turning around see Alice. You should go" she said coming over and kissing my cheek helping me go to the car. Everyone was out there. I smile. "So umm I'm going back to Mystic Falls, I just need to fall in love.
