Judgement

People tell me to stop complaining about my life,

That I should be happy,

Grateful

Selfless

Carefree

It's true.

I have never been

Abused

Bullied

Raped

Molested

Neglected

Homeless

Poor

Orphaned

Had to deal with death,

Or divorce.

But how dare you to tell me I'm being over dramatic.

I have never been abused

But words can hurt too.

I've never been bullied

But I've been abandoned by my "friends" before.

I've never been raped or molested,

But I know how it feels to feel exposed,

Like the world can see all your secrets.

I've never been neglected,

And yet I feel so alone.

I've never been homeless,

Or poor,

But I'm not rich,

I've had to make sacrifices too.

My parents are still together,

Most of my grandparents still alive,

But that is no use when I can't talk to them

Without being judged.

I have a home, parents who care,

I've never been beaten,

But who are you to say

My problems don't matter.
