They sicken me
People who tell me
"Depression isn't a disease"
"Just get over it"
"Stop being so moody all the time"
"It's all in your head"
"Your overreacting"
Saying mental disorders aren't diseases is the same as
Telling someone paralyzed
"It's all in your head"
"You could walk if you tried, your just lazy"
It's the same as telling someone with the flu
"It will go away, you just have to ignore it"
It's the same as telling someone who is autistic
"It's just a phase, you'll grow out of it eventually"
There's a difference between being sad, and having depression.
"Sad" is a feeling
Depression is a disease
Anxiety is a disease
Schizophrenia is a disease
Bipolar is a disease
Anorexia is a disease
Bulimia is a disease
The only difference,
There is no cure.
They are something you're stuck with for life
They eat away at you until nothing is left
But an empty shell.
