Have you ever had a dream?

A goal?

Something you fight for

Try your hardest to achieve

Yet no matter how much hope

You never reach.

Some strive to be valedictorian

Top of their class

Graduate with honors

Become someone great.

To become a celebrity

A famous

Musician

Athlete

Artist

Politician

To be president

Of a country

Of a university

Of a company

Everyone has a dream

Mine's a bit different.

I don't want to be famous

Or wealthy

Or successful

My dream?

To mean something

To make a difference

No matter how small

In the life of someone else

I don't need to be a role model

I don't want to be glorified

I want to be remembered

Not for what I did

For who I was.
