I quickly grab Ellie's arm and pull her away from Jessica.

Ellie gasps as I pull her.

Jessica stops and looks at me.

Oh crap, I didn't really think this through. What am I supposed to say?

"Hey your the one from class, what are you doing?" Jessica says looking at me.

I panic but keep my calm.

"Uh, Ellie isn't feeling well, its best that you don't get too close to her..." I say.

Okay seriously Shay thats the best you could come up with?

"Yeah, Ive been throwing up a lot lately" Ellie says trying to back me up.

"I wouldn't mind getting sick" Jessica says getting closer to Ellie.

I pull Ellie again.

"Trust me you wouldn't want to catch it" I say in defense.

Jessica looks at me, I can tell she knows that Im being really defensive for Ellie.

Suddenly a red car pulls up into the driveway and a man with sunglasses waves to Jessica. He looks really rich.

"Alright well, thats my ride, Ill get going now" Jessica says giving Ellie a hug.

"Bye, wait I didn't catch your name" Jessica asks me.

"Im Shay" I tell her.

"Bye Shay" she says looking at me,

Jessica walks away and into her car.

"Damn, her family must be rich" I whisper to Ellie.

"Yeah, her dad owns a company and her mom is a lawyer" Ellie whispers back.

The car drives away.

"So, whats the deal between you two?"

I ask Ellie.

Ellie sighs.

"Well, I told her that our relationship wasn't going to work out and that I was going to move schools. She took it really hard but all she replied back was, *I'll wait*" Ellie says.

"So she never got the gist" I say.

"Yeah basically.." Ellie says.

Finally a car pulls up.

"Thats my ride" Ellie says looking at the car and then me.

"Wait, uh, well since we have the day off tomorrow, I was wondering if you maybe wanted to see a movie?" I ask nervously.

Ellie smiles.

"So a date?" Ellie says

I blush.

"Well, yeah I guess, we are a couple" I say with a little laugh.

"Sure" Ellie says with a smile.

"I'll text you with the details" I say with a smile.

"I would hug you if I could but.." Ellie whispers as she nudges her head to her car.

I laugh.

"I would too" I say with a smile.

Ellie walks away and goes to her car.

I see her mom, a nice looking women with Ellie's shade of hair. She gives me a smile as Ellie opens the car door.

I wave.
