Chapter 15: Farewell

''Get the cannons loaded!'', Toni yelled. He then turned to me and gave me a feeble glance.

''Follow me, princesa.'', he said softly.

He grabbed my hand tightly and brought me downstairs and into the hallway. The ship shook several times as we walked down the corridors.

Toni led me to a door at the end of the hallway and let go of my hand. I could hear faint muffles of gunshots and yells upstairs .

He opened the door, which entered into a small, dusty closet. It was crowded with an assortment of old swords, crates, paddles, and sacks of unknown things.

I watched as the captain emptied a sack, which was full of empty bottles,and then grabbed two paddles.He commenced walking towards the kitchen.

''What are you doing, Toni?'', I asked as I followed him into the kitchen. He began grabbing cans of food and shoving them into the burlap.

He didn't answer me, he only continued putting food into the bag.

A minute or so later, he threw the sack over his back and went upstairs. I followed him up, and as I got onto the deck I could clearly hear all the gunshots and yells of the pirates.

I followed Toni to the rear of the ship and quietly observerd as he united a rope that was attached to a rail, then began pulling something up from the rope. It was a dinghy.

He placed the sack of food and paddles onto the boat, then turned to face me and finally spoke.

''I want you to be safe, princesa, even if you're not with me.''Toni said as he walked over to me and envoloped me into a hug.

Does he mean what I think he means? Is he....no he can't do that to me. Why!?

I hugged him back tightly, and soon felt hot tears rolling down my cheeks.

''No. I don't want to be safe if it means I can't be by your side.'', I sobbed, my head nuzzled into his chest.

''Lo siento, but I must do this.'' Toni quietly whispered into my ear. I looked up and saw tears escaping from Toni's eyes.

The ship shook again, and Toni suddenly picked me up and put me onto the boat.

''Toni!', I screamed as he began lowering down the boat into the ocean.

''Goodbye, princesa. Please forgive me. Maybe one day we can meet again.''

A/N:

Sorry this chapter is short!! Like.... Really short. I wanted to have a cliff hanger ^_^ so SuFfEr!!

I promise to update in at least less than 3 days!! If i don't then..... Uh... Message me a dare and I'll do it... Or something.

I haven't been able to update lately 'cuz of robotics.. (Excuses, excuses, excuses!!)

I'm in robotics :D I make... Robots and program and...."stuff".

And I have it on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and occasionally Saturday.... So.. I'm busy most of the time.

I feel like I just told you my life story.... But I have no life soooo. Anywhooooooo
