Blue eyes stared into an identical pair.
"So, you're chicken."
"Dad! Come on! It's way too early to invite my mate over to meet my parents!" Carver groaned, dropping his head into his hands.
"I'm sure it won't go badly, good luck," Ethan called from the living room, he and Conner playing a video game. Ethan smirked over at him, Carver baring his teeth.
"I'm so glad you agree, Ethan! Since my son's mates and yours are all siblings, that invitation is extending to you," Adam said happily, Ethan's face dropping instantly. He looked like he wanted to hit his head, having unknowingly stuck his foot in his mouth. Carver smiled at him with vindictive glee.
"Dad," Conner said seriously, pausing the game, "it's still a slow process with me and Tyler."
Sadness flickered in his eyes at that, his Dad looking at him with sympathy.
"We've barely started holding hands and that was last week!" Conner sighed, flopping onto his back. The Winters had only been in their run-down little townhouse for almost two months. Barely enough time for anyone to get adjusted to a new life.
"Actually, all of our mates seem rather shy and slow at progressing in a relationship," Ethan said, looking far away in thought.
"You know I'd believe you except I know Carver makes out with his mate all the time," Conner said, rolling his eyes.
"Where I stick my tongue is none of your business," Carver said happily, Ethan and Conner wrinkling their noses at him.
"I'm sure your mate will be touched that you want to introduce them to your parents," Adam said, giving the most heart wrenching puppy dog eyes. Conner, Ethan and Carver groaned, turning away from their power.
"Right, honey?" Adam asked, Carver and Conner perking up at their papa walking in, Ethan bowing his head to the man. Chris looked at his mate and then his sons a few times.
"...yes."
"You don't even know what we were talking about!" Conner and Carver shouted, jumping on their father who gave a booming laugh.
"If my darling mate wishes for something, he will have it," Chris said astutely, Adam looking at him with a besotted gaze.
"Such a softie," Carver grumbled, his papa snapping his teeth together playfully at his sons.
"As will you be when you complete the bond with your mate," Chris said, Carver and Conner detaching themselves from the man.
"How about you ask your mates if they can come over Saturday?" Adam asked happily
"Oh," Chris said, seeming to figure out what they were talking about before. Carver, Conner and Ethan perked up in triumph until Adam whipped out his big puppy dog eyes on his mate.
"Put those away, you menace," Chris chuckled deeply, scooping his beloved against him, softly kissing him, "I just need to know if that is the official date so that I can make sure the pack is prepared for humans joining us. Don't need any accidental shifts happening in front of them."
"My perfect, lovely alpha," Adam crooned, kissing the man happily, hearing groans from the three other males in the room.
"Mm, see to it that it's Saturday then, boys," Chris said, not looking away from his beautiful mate, bumping his nose against Adam's smaller one. Chris happily whisked his mate out of the living room, likely heading to their bedroom.
"We need to remember to ask your papa about things before your dad finds out," Ethan mumbled, Carver and Conner nodding glumly. They'd never win against his puppy dog eyes when he wanted something.
