Xena's Story: A DBZ Fanfic

'Something's...burning?' I open my eyes to see a destroyed city covered in fires. I keep looking around until I somehow loose control of my body and it starts moving on its own around the city. I'm walking slowly through the city looking around and sensing for people, eventually I hear a little girl crying. I follow the sound to find a girl around the age of 4 crying beside a wall. 'I remember her, this was back when I was 8 years old...' I say as my point of view changes to where I am outside my body watching from the side.

"You are really noisy you little brat." 8 year old me said coldly to the crying girl. As she says this she raises her hand with an energy blast forming in her palm aimed at the girl.

'What are you doing?! Don't shoot her!' I call out to my younger self without being heard as she raises her hand higher and the blast grows bigger.

"P-please miss you have to help my mommy! S-she's not moving no ma-matter how much I-I shake her or call her!" The little girl begged crying more. Younger me freezes when she sees the body of the girl's mother sticking out from behind the wall.

'Oh right...it's not me that kills the girl...' I say as I see none other than Goku Black walk up behind younger me. He raises his hand over her shoulder with a energy blast bigger than hers forming in his palm.

'Don't you fucking dare you son of a bitch!!' I scream as I charge at him...but I simply phase right through him as he fires the energy blast at the little girl.

"AHHH!" The little girl screams at the top of her lungs for a split second before it went silent. I turn around as younger me leaves with him and see the little girl's unmoving body lying next to her mother's.

"NOOOOO!!" I scream as I jolt up in bed. I sit in bed shaking and covered in a cold sweat as I pull my knees to my chest and hug them trying to calm down. "I-it was just another nightmare..." I say as I take deep breaths. After a while I finally calmed down and got dressed in my uniform and headed out.

"Xena, good morning!" Mina says happily as she runs up and hugs me. "Hey are you ok? You look a little pale, you aren't sick are you?" She asks as she looks at my face.

"I'm fine...just, didn't sleep very well last night is all. I need to get to the time nest soon so I can't stay and chat, sorry." I say softly as she lets go of me and I sit at my usual table.

"O-oh, sure thing Xen. Be right back." She said as her usual smile returns to her face.

Once she leaves I feel eyes on me as the others seated outside the café watch me carefully. 'Same as always, I shouldn't ever expect any different from them. They are more on edge around me right now because they heard me say I didn't sleep well, they are worried I will snap any moment...' I think to myself as I pretend I don't notice their stares.

"Here ya go Xen, I brought extra this time since it looks like you could use it!" She said carrying the large try of food to me. "I also brought you lots of coffee just the way you like it." She said somehow placing the five or six plates of food and three large cups of coffee on the small café table. "Something wrong?" She asked playing with a lock of her cobalt blue hair.

"It's nothing, thanks Mi." I say as I grab one of the coffee cups.

"Well enjoy and I will see you later then." She said with a slight hurt look in her golden-yellow eyes.

"Yea, sorry Mi." I apologized before she walked off to another table. I eat quickly before leaving my usual big tip and flying off to the time nest.

"Xena, how was your day off?" Elder Kai asks as I walk in the door. "Piccolo said you went to the festival so I'm assuming you had fun." He said looking up at me.

"I guess, Mina dragged me to it. She wouldn't take no for an answer, so what mission do you have for me and it better be good." I said quickly changing the topic.

"You know you are only 14, you are still pretty much a child, you should try and enjoy the last little bit of your childhood." He said as he sighed.

"I'm not a child, a child is an innocent little kid that is ignorant to the world around them, and my childhood ended the day my mother died." I said coldly walking past him to the table where a scroll was laying.

"Welcome back Xena. We got a good mission for you just as promised, here look at this." Supreme Kai of Time said as she walked over to the table. We both watch the scroll as it shows the fight between Gohan and Cell, Cell forms the Cell Jr.'s but there are a lot more then there were supposed to be and everyone was struggling to fend them off. "This isn't good, we need you to go and help reduce the number of Cell Jr.'s there are or everyone won't stand a chance." She explained handing me the scroll.

"Understood." I say taking the scroll and start the transition getting enveloped in the white light. When I open my eyes I'm at the Cell Games arena and everyone is getting attacked by the Cell Jr.'s. I quickly charge and attack the one closest to me.

"Who are you kid and what are you doing here?" Some one says when I land in the hill top where everyone one is fighting. I turn around to see Tien.

"It doesn't really matter who I am right now, we have more important things to worry about right now." I say to him as I attack another one.

"Are you a saiyan child? You have armor like Vegeta's and you have a tail but I was under the impression Goku and Vegeta were the only two left alive." I hear Yamcha ask as he lands nearby.

"You guys ask too many questions, just shut up and fight these stupid fuckers!" I snap at them getting annoyed with their questions.

"You have a pretty foul mouth for one so young, you can't be that much older than Gohan by the looks of you, what are you 12?" Tien asked punching one of the Cell Jr.'s.

"Enough with the god damn questions already, and for your information three eyes I'm 14 not 12!" I snap again blasting the one I was fighting. I fight along side Tien and Yamcha against the Cell Jr.'s while keeping my distance from Goku.

"Looks like Goku needs help, we should go." Yamcha said as we finished off the ones near us. They fly off towards him while I stay put. "Come on girly, what are you waiting for!" He called to me when he saw I didn't follow them.

I was about to respond when simultaneously I sense a bad energy and my scouter buzzes in. ~Xena come back now, I don't know who that is but I don't like the feel of his power. We will send someone else to come in and deal with him.~ She told me sounding slightly nervous.

"Understood, I've brought the count back down to seven where it's supposed to be anyway so I'm on my way back." I told her as I pulled out the scroll and transitioned back before Yamcha or Tien could try and stop me.

"Welcome back Xena and nicely done...though you could have been a bit nicer to those two." Supreme Kai of Time said the moment I got back.

"They were asking too many questions I'm not allowed to answer and they were getting on my nerves." I said crossing my arms and leaning against the table. "Who was that ominous power I felt while I was there anyway?" I asked her.

"We believe him to be one of the ones corrupting and altering the time lines." Supreme Kai of Time explained.

"Then why did you pulled me back?! Isn't it my job to find and stop the ones changing the time lines?" I asked.

"Because they aren't your problem child, you can help us with them when you learn to control your power." Elder Kai said.

"I told you I'm not a god damn child old man!" I snap at him. "By the time I get my power under control you guys will have defeated them! You know this!" I raise my voice at them both. I struggle to keep my energy in check as my anger drags my power level up with it. I get even more pissed when they don't respond and eventually storm out of the building, blasting a hole in the side as I leave.
