Xena's Story: A DBZ Fanfic

The Deal

I get up the next morning groggy and cranky because I didn't sleep well. "This is just going to be a fantastic day." I say sarcastically to myself as I slowly get out of bed. "Shit! God dammit!" I yell when I trip over something and fall. I just groan and stand back up shifting through the stuff on the floor looking for my uniform and eventually find it under the remains of my dresser.

"Good morning Xena, did you have a good birthday yesterday? Piccolo told me what happened...did you patch things up with Mina?" Elder Kai started questioning me when I came in. I don't answer and only glare at him. "Well anyway we have your mission for today." He said handing me the scroll.

"There doesn't look like this scroll is corrupted and it's weird you haven't shown me what time line I'm jumping into...what are you up to old man?" I ask him trying to figure out what his plan was,

"We just got a tip off from another time patroller about this time line going under attack soon so I plan to send you there ahead of time so you can cut them off." Elder Kai said slightly sweating.

"Really now? Then why do you seem like you are lying to me?" I asked bending down to be eye level with him.

"He's just nervous because he doesn't know if our tip off was completely correct, which is why we are sending you because you are our most flexible time patroller and you can help out to stop it in time." Supreme Kai of Time said walking up behind Elder Kai.

"Alright, fine I guess that's also why I wasn't shown the time line...because I need to stay out of sight until something happens?" I asked her.

"That's right, now go on. I will contact you on the scouter if something comes up." She said smiling her usual smile. I don't say anything else just close my eyes and use the time scroll.

"Now where am I?" I ask quietly to myself as my eyes adjust back to the bright outside light and quickly hiding behind a tree not to be seen. "This is Capsule Corp isn't it? I guess it would look different when I've only ever seen it destroyed." I said looking around. "Oh shit." I say quietly as I duck back behind the tree and hide my power level as someone walks by.

"I could have sworn I felt a high power level over here somewhere, maybe it was just one of Kakarrot's kids messing around." Vegeta said only a couple feet from the tree I was behind.

"Vegeta! Come over here and help me get everything set up before everyone gets here!" I hear a voice I hadn't heard in a long time.

"Dammit Bulma you have people to do this for you so why don't you get them to do it?!" Vegeta yells back at her.

"It never hurts to help out now get over here!" Bulma yells back drawing Vegeta over to her mumbling curses the whole way.

"Good he's gone...if they are gathering everyone that might be when they get attacked. I should head over there and keep an eye out." I said as I slowly made my way over there without getting noticed. I sit in the little wooded area right outside the spot where the tables and stuff were getting set up just watching for about an hour before people started showing up.

"Hey Bulma." The one that looked like Krillin said waving.

"Hey Krillin, 18 and little Marron." Bulma said turning to greet them.

"Wait so that actually is Krillin?! Since when did he have hair...and a family?" I ask myself quietly before covering my mouth when Piccolo who had arrived before them looked over in my direction. 'Oops I forgot he was there, he can probably hear me if I talk too so no more talking out loud.' I think standing still and being dead silent until Piccolo turns back around. I sit around and eventually Goku and his family eventually show up. 'Of course, like every other version he's happy with a big family...' I thought glaring at him while he talked.
