Trunks Needs My Help?

Once I'm outside instead of taking off I move out of sight and lean against the wall. 'I'm sick of him treating me like a child who doesn't know what she's doing.' I think to myself clenching my fists tightly trying to calm down when I hear Trunks start talking from within the room.

"I told you she had no control, are sure he can actually do this job? We could just send her back home." I heard Trunks's voice say.

'Of course he would say that, he like nothing more than for me to get sent back and killed.' I think getting pissed off again. After sitting there for a while longer listening to Trunks downgrade me I get fed up and take off back to the barracks.

"Xen you in there?" I heard Mina ask while knocking on my door after about two hours of me being alone in there.

"Go away Mina." I tell her from within my room.

"No...not until you talk to me." Mina said knocking even harder on my door.

"Ugh...fine." I groan getting off my bed and walk over to the door opening it. "What do you want Mina?" I asked her opening the door just wide enough where I could see her.

"I wanna hang out and you aren't answering me, what's wrong?" She asked leaning forward.

"Nothing is wrong, just tired...you wanna come in. We can just talk here I guess." I said stepping back and opening the door wider so she could come in.

"Wow, I don't think I've ever been in your room before...geez Xen you really need to clean it." She said looking around my messy room.

"I'm usually busy so I don't have time to clean it, I'm only really in here to sleep and out doing missions the rest of the time." I said sitting cross-legged on my bed.

"I could always come in and clean it for you from time to time while you out doing missions." She offered sitting down next to me.

"You are working at the café all the time I couldn't ask you to do that...besides it's not that bad." I said quickly declining her offer.

"Aww, it really wouldn't be a..." She started so say when she go cut off by a hard banging on my door.

"Hold that though Mi." I said as I got up and went to the door. "What is it?" I said sounding annoyed that someone was bugging me.

"We have trouble at the time nest and the kais need you there right away." The young lady said sounding panicked.

"Alright I will be there in a minute let them know." I said sounding calm in contrast to the panicked girl on the other side of the door.

"O-okay but please hurry." She said before I hear her running down the hallway.

"Sorry Mi but it looks like I have more work so we will have to sit and talk later." I said apologizing to her.

"It's no problem Xen. Oh yeah isn't your birthday in a couple days? We could always hang out then." She said smiling.

"Never really did much for my birthday...so I guess so." I said rubbing the back of my head.

"Awesome, but you gotta wear the dress I got you and it's non-negotiable." She said crossing her arms.

"Alright fine but I gotta go now, I will see ya later Mina." I said after hesitating then left the room.

"There you are what took you so long?!" Elder Kai starts yelling the moment I walk in the room.

"Sorry I was busy, now what's wrong?" I asked crossing my arms getting ticked that I was getting yelled at for nothing. "What's wrong with you?" I asked noticing Trunks was partially transparent.

"This is why we called you back so quickly. The androids killed Trunks in one of the time lines and now he's fading away." Supreme Kai of Time explained.

"And him disappearing is a bad thing?" I asked cocking an eyebrow at her and earning a piercing glare from Trunks. "So you mean to say that Trunks needs my help? Fine I will help...but he has to ask me." I said turning to face Trunks.

"No way, we can get someone else to help." Trunks said crossing his arms and looking away from me.

"Fine, can't say I didn't try. I will be in my room at the barracks hanging with Mina." I said turning around and waving.

"Wow you actually have a friend? That's surprising." Trunks sneered from behind me.

"And this is why I won't help him, see ya later...or not." I said glancing back at him with a condescending smile before heading to the door.

"Xena wait, Trunks we don't have time for you two to be bickering like children." Supreme Kai of Time said grabbing my wrist with her small hand then looking at Trunks. "Xena please, we need you to help him. Prove to him and everyone that you are different from you father and you can help someone even if they aren't the nicest to you, so please Xena this could be your chance to show you've changed." She said to me slightly squeezing my wrist.

"Fine, but you own me big time for this." I said unable to turn away after what she said. "Fine I will help you Trunks, just sit there and watch me and don't fade away until you watch me beat the ones you couldn't." I said walking past him and grabbing the time scroll before Trunks could respond to me.

"Ok Xena the job here will be pretty simple here, you just have to help Trunks fight the androids. You don't have to beat them you just have to weaken them so Trunks can." Supreme of Kai explained over my scouter.

"Understood and I think I found them so I'm on it." I responded when I sensed strong energies. I fly in that direction to find Trunks standing off against a pair of people one blonde and one black haired. "Mind if I cut in?" I asked landing next to the light purple haired teen.

"Who are you kid?" The black haired one asked.

"That's not really you problem, just know I'm your enemy." I said before turning to Trunks. "Listen I'm just here to help so let's get this over with ok?" I asked the dumbfounded teen.

"O-ok ready when you are...I guess." He said confused before we both turned towards the androids and start our attack. We fight against them until we manage to split them up and I distracted 17 while Trunks dealt with 18.

"You have some nerve attacking us girl." 17 said as we fought.

"And you have some nerve double teaming a teenager, and I'm more like you than you think so I know what I'm doing." I said punching him in the stomach.

"Like you know anything, we are just having fun there's no other meaning to it." He said shooting an energy blast at me which I easily dodged.

"If you say so and it looks like our conversation is over." I said moving away when he got shot in the back with an energy blast from Trunks. "Nice shot, I will leave the rest to you." I said and pulled out the time scroll.

"Great job Xena, looks like everything is back to normal." Elder Kai said when I appeared back in the time nest.

"Well?" I said looking right at Trunks who was leaning against a wall ignoring me back to normal.

"What?" He asked without even looking at me.

"Wow, not even a thank you? I literally just saved your entire existence and you can't even say thank you, and you call me the heartless one?" I asked getting pissed by his attitude towards me.

"Trunks, come on the least you can do is say thank you to her." Supreme Kai of Time said walking over to Trunks and all he does is glare at me which I happily return.

"You two are hopeless, you are so alike it's almost scary." Elder Kai said getting fend up with us.

"I'm nothing like this asshole!" We both yell in unison only to get an all too familiar look from Elder Kai before we just turn and glare at each other.

"Trunks..." Supreme Kai of Time said in a calm but almost begging voice receiving a sigh from him before he reluctantly turned to me.

"Thank you for your help." He said in a cold voice before walking off.

"All I needed to hear. Now if you excuse me I'm going to rest since I didn't get to after the other mission I did today." I said forcing a smile before letting it fall and leaving.
