Stopping Cousin Jason(Chapter 5)

Janus's POV

We were all hanging out in the mount justice lounge. Bart was playing video games with Jaime a boy with an alien sentient war machine on his back. As well as Garfield who was a green child who had the appearance of a human like monkey. Dick and Wally were cuddled up on the couch, with Dick playing with Wally's hair. Catching him up with all the things he missed since he was gone. I told Wally about Barry and how he had disowned me and blamed me for his disappearance. Wally was pissed when i told him. Saying that he would have a chat with Barry hinting that there would be pain involved. Savitar or dad as i should probably start calling him, had left saying that there was something urgent he needed to see to. Yeah right, the real reason he left was probably because he felt uncomfortable in a room full of hero's and him being the only villain in the room. He didn't leave though without adding a few adjustments to my suit adding a distress signal to my red and white lightning symbol saying i would only have to press it and he would come to my aid whenever i needed it or if i needed to talk with him about anything.After he took off Superman and most of the justice league had came to see Wally and me. Dick had called everybody and told them about the news. Everyone was there except for Batman, Barry and the rest of the bat family. I had met Superman's son a ten year old boy named Jon Kent. He was the most adorable kid i had ever met. It was awkward when i had to explain to the Justice League why i was a ten year old child trapped in a eighteen year old's body. Everyone left two hours later leaving me,Wally,Bart,Jamie,and Beast boy in our current state of boredom. That was until Dick received a transmission on his holographic screen that was attached to the wrist of his Nightwing suit. Dick left to go into the hallway to take the transmission. Two minutes later Nightwing came into the room with a look of sadness and worry.

"What is it babe"

 Wally asked Dick while laying on the couch.

"It's Jason he's resurfaced in Gotham and is planning to break into Arkham asylum and kill Joker. " 

Dick said looking down at the floor. I was taken back by what i had just heard. Jason would never cross that line. Sure the Joker had done some horrible things and killed countless people during his deranged schemes. But he didn't deserve to die did he ?

"Jason's alive since when ?" 

Wally said shooting up from his spot on the couch.

"Most importantly what made Jason change so suddenly ?" I asked as we all looked at Dick for a explanation. Dick sighed before speaking. Look ill tell you all on the way to Arkham for now lets get going. Just like that on cue a rolling ball came out of know were. 

"Um guys why is there a sphere rolling around?" 

I asked puzzled.

"Oh this guy is our friend sphere, he can transform into a super cycle that fly's" Garth said happily petting the sentient sphere while it made a series of beeping sounds that resembled a happy pet.

"Teen ti... you know what lets just go" 

Dick said chuckling nervously while we gave him a confused look.Everyone suited up wally still in his kid flash attire from when he had returned, Bart also in kid flash attire, Jamie's scarab covering his whole body into a full blue and black suit. I still thought my suit was cooler since  it literally came from a speedforce lightning bolt.  And last but not least Garfield who was already in his costume. Bart,wally and i ran on foot while the rest of the team traveled by air. We had been given comm systems so we could speak to each other while we were on the mission.

Dick had explained to us on the way about Jason's death by the hands of the joker and his resurrection. Jason had trained with the league of assassins  and went on to learn from other masters in the art of killing. I was shocked to learn the Jason had came back to Gotham and taken the criminal underworld under his control. Killing any criminals who broke his rules and eliminating mob bosses and king pins. He even tried to make batman kill the joker but failed in doing so. It was just another event that i had missed out on. One i could have helped prevent. I was starting to see the cons to the early awakening of my powers the more and more i learned about all the things i had missed. I looked over to Wally seeing a deep despondency to what Dick had told us about Jason. I put a a hand on Wally's shoulder giving him a reassuring nod telling him that everything was going to be alright. Now i needed to convince myself of the same thing. We made it to Gotham and from there it was a short commute to Arckham asylum, by the time we had gotten there it looked like Jason had already made it inside. The spotlights from the guard tower had been destroyed and the two guards that were supposed to be keeping a vigilant eye from there post  were dead. Strung over the watchtower window blood leaking from the wall. The alarm wasn't blaring so it seemed like Jason had made it in without gaining any attention.
