Chapter Nineteen - Wild Beatings

Autumn

My mouth hang open by Sky's reaction. Anger was all over his face. "What are you doing here rogue?! " I blink twice when I drops of rain falling then it's all gone.

"I-I..." I miss you Sky. That's what I want to say but I control my self not to touch his face. "I'm sorry I'm not good at crowded place. I just want to have a good time with my baby", I said in a calm voice. His eyes landed on my bump and with that his face softened. I bit my lower lip trying to stop myself from caressing his cheeks. I sigh and look at the lake. The rays of the sun makes a reflection, it sparkle like stars and I can't help but admire the beauty it gives to the lake.

"Where is the father of your pup? Your mate. Where is he?", he asked. I look at him and smiled weakly. Trying not to let the pain devour me.

"The man I love, you mean? He's under a spell now by a certain witch and I can't do anything because I'm just a mere wolf now" I said. He frowned and narrowed his eyes to meet mine. Those chocolate brown eyes.

"Who is he? Maybe Autumn can help you" he offer.
I smile foolishly. Help myself?

"No thanks. But I'd rather faced that witch myself", I mumbled and stare at his eyes. Promise, I saw something in his eyes but he quickly covered it with those cold expressions. A part of him I've never seen before. He stand up and in a cold tone.

"Suit yourself. You never want to get yourself and your pup in trouble of finding rogues here. This is almost the pack's border", he said turning his back to me. But he paused remembering something maybe.

"One more thing, don't try to involved yourself with the Coast Moon Pack Alpha. By his name itself he is a womanizer. He flirts everyone he saw who wears skirts"

And with that a small smile across my lips. My Sky, he's still concern as ever. I want to think we're still in the same situation but that will make my pain even worst. Tears fell from my eyes while watching him walk away from me. "I miss you darling", I mouthed.

I wipe the tears in my eyes and smiled. One day, one day I will have you back.

"NO! No! Don't touch me! Sky! Help me! Help me please!"

I gasped waking from the bed from that nightmare. That dream is still vivid that I thought that my heart will burst out from my chest. In my frustration I comb hair with my hands. Tears mixed with sweat are all over my body.
"He didn't saved us! He didn't saved us!" Angela whimpered in terror feeling so uneasy in my head. She keeps making that scratching sounds that all I can is covered my ears with my hands.
"Angela, calmed down"
"I don't need to calmed down! That bastard cause us this... And.. H-he never saved us! How can you make me calmed down like this?" She snapped. I sigh, needing the time to calm down both myself and my wolf. I look at the clock on the wall and saw that it was only four in the morning. I am sleeping here at servants head quarters, the scheming bitch ordered herself.

"Please Angela, calmed down. Even though not for us but for the sake of our pup. I know you want to kill that two. I want it myself, too but you will only ruined if we take some drastic move. We'll have our time, trust me", I said. Angela didn't speak she just hide herself inside the back of my mind.
I take my scarf and cover myself when I can't sleep anymore. I need to walk. I welcome the cold breeze in my hands. Stars scattered in the sky like broken diamonds. My feet dragged me again in the lake and it amaze me that it was still fascinating even in nighttime. I close my eyes when I saw a falling star crossing in my view. Mom used to tell that it was an angel that fall from heaven and the only way to make it's way to return to heaven is to grant one pure wish.

"Please, make all our sacrifices worth that in the end, that peace will still prevail and light will win against darkness", I smiled but gasped and taken aback when I saw a girl glowing with light around her.

"W-who are you?" I mumbled. Gosh! Why do I need to stutter?

"Don't be afraid my child. I'm here to grant a wish... and don't you remember my voice Autumn, child?"

My eyes wide in shocked only finding out a moonless sky.
"Moon Goddess", I whisper and bow my head. Like the first time we met she hug me and I almost cried because of the comfort it brought to my body and to Angela. "There's always a way my child. Remember that in every fairy tales curse can lift up. And it's you who will decide what to do"

I want to say something but in the blink of an eye. I'm here all alone again, am I dreaming? I look up in the sky. Still it was a moonless night.

Did the moon goddess neglected me too? I want my mom but she is nowhere and even if I saw her,  can she recognized me? I sat under the tree, folded my knees and embrace them. I buried my between my knees and sob silently.

I stiffened when I suddenly feel a warm thing place on my shoulder. I look up and saw Eros and on my shoulder is his jacket. He worriedly level himself to me and wipe my unshed tears with his thumb.

"I-I... "

"Ssh. It's okay I understand your situation", he said and put his arm on my shoulder pulling me closer to him. The comfort he brought... it was amazing.

I looked at him puzzled. And when he understand the awkwardness that I felt. He instantly pulled himself away from me while raising both his hands.
"I didn't do anything! I'm just comforting! Please don't think of me as a pervert! Don't tell it to the authority" he panicked giving us distance. He looked so cute that I can't help but chuckle. Wiping the rest of my tears I look at him. His eyes are full of amusement and adoration.
"You really just look like her?" he mumbled. "Who?"

"Someone very important to me"
"What is her name?" I asked curious. "Her name is Erin, my sister"

I was shocked but when I recover. I felt that all the awkwardness I felt while ago suddenly vanished. Maybe it is that I also felt the sisterly feeling towards him.
"Does we have the same face?"
"Definitely, you look like twin", he said nodding then pinched my cheeks. "Ouch! My poor cheeks"

"The least you don't need anymore blush on. I made it for you",
I pouted, forgetting Sky for a while, he laughed. "Meanie! By the way, where is Erin? Can I meet her? I bet she's cool just like me"

Even though this is not my real face. I can't help but to be exited to see his sister. He exhaled, his eyes filled with pain, sadness and hatred. "I'm sorry but she died long time ago in Rogue's attack".

"Oh"

For some reason I felt sorry for him and his sister.
