Chapter Twenty Six - Mates Until the End

AUTUMN

"Sky, no! Don't do this to me. Please open your eyes for me, Angela sacrifices for us already so please... " I beg. But Sky doesn't move even a little bit. My sob grew louder until it become cry. I even did not bothered other member who is trying to protect me.

"We want you to end this era with the success in our hands. Because if not, the generation you given your life will suffer". I paused and tighten my grip into Sky's cold body. No, my children and their children won't suffer anymore. I gently laid down Sky and eyed Elaine. I will finish what my love did not finish.

The rain fall hard but so as the moon shine even brighter. I know, she's doing me so much favor..

No, it was the High King who did so much favor to us. She whisper in my ears.
I glared at Elena. Unknown words came out of my lips as if I know this all my life. I raise both my hands and release it towards Elaine.

"You can't f*cking kill me with barely magic", she shouted and tried to dodge my attack but my lips curled in smile as it caught her.

"Yeah. Barely magic can't kill you", I paused when blood ooze from my mouth.

I have to finish this once and for all. "This is not magic, this is my life force Elaine. And it is much powerful than magic"

Elaine screamed as hell is devouring her. A smoke came out of my body and completely devoured her and her pawns. It's not scary yet it was a mist that brought me a peacefulness. I fell beside Sky, I crawled and held his hand. Suddenly the rain stop.

Everyone gathered around us including mom whose now holding me. "Autumn", she sob.

"Mom, I'm sorry for leaving you this sooner but I can't let Sky travel alone." I said then look at Sky

" Please take care of our twin", I gasped trying to fill my lungs but I failed. My heartbeat becomes weaker and weaker. I smiled at Sky as tears once again fell from my eyes. Let's meet again in another lifetime Sky, with different situation and less complications. I'm sorry Angela I failed to live again. I lost Sky and and I'm lost too.

I closed my eyes as my heartbeat stops. I wake up in a meadow filled different wild flowers. I felt so amaze yet I'm so at peace.

"Good morning", Sky whisper. I smiled as I reach his lips. It was the sweetest kiss that I've tasted for he is my first and last. He's still as handsome as ever as he wears those white clothes.

"Good morning too", I say after we broke the kiss. He stand up and offer me his hand. In my surprise, I saw myself also wearing white.

"Let's go?"

I nod and take his hand. We walk to the path of everyone called afterlife.

CHASE

"It still happened. They still die", Rain said to me while holding in her arms her baby self.

The baby giggles as my baby self played with her small fingers. My shoulder slump at her news. All I can do is nod at her.

Maybe we can't do anything to undo everything. I warn them about Kate's demise would cause this but everything still happened. Elena use Kate's body to resurrect and to kill Leyla, Ruru's guardian.

We laid our younger selves when they fell asleep. I look at Rain's neck then to the baby. "I'm sorry for your scar"

She shakes her head. "Don't be. This is the only thing left for me that makes me remember how much Dad and Mom loves us", she snap her fingers and in instant we are now in a funeral. Cielo and Cloud are mourning while holding us as they watch our parents buried.

Cielo's eyes caught us and Rain wave as she snap her fingers again back to our present.

I inhaled and looked around. Everything is still as clear sky ever. Twenty two years later after their demise.

Sky.

I looked up when a leaf fall on my nose. I smiled. Mom, dad, you don't have to make us remember about you because even if we don't see you as we grew up we can still felt your presence.

"Mom, dad", Rain whisper to with a smile on her lips. Uncle Cloud and Aunt Cielo (she doesn't want to be called granny) get married and by miracle she gave birth to a girl named Celestina. They never thought that at first that a vampire could give birth to a child but Aunt Cielo is an exception she's a vampire-witch hybrid.

"Who told the two of you to sneak like that again huh?" Eria, my mate and Aunt Kristen's stubborn daughter, shouted with a frown. Beside her is Indigo, uncle Eros's son and yeah, Rain's mate.

"We just hang around and have our twin bonding like usual", she said. In instant she was envelope by Indigo's arms. I shake my head. This man is as still as possessive as ever.

I sigh as I kiss Eria on lips that makes her blush.

"I'm sorry okay? It's mom and dad death anniversary and me and my sister want to celebrate it with them", she nod and hugged me tightly.

"Are you done? Let's go home", Ruru shouted then jump off from the tree. Ugh. This one is as vain as ever.

Mom, dad, wherever you are. I hope you are happy now because we are happy. Don't worry about us that much. We're doing fine.

Life doesn't always end happily ever after but I know that if they got a tragic life here, it will be a happily one in the afterlife.

And with that we left the cemetery. See you again mom and dad.
