The Unexpected Dwarf

Chapter 5

My eye lids flickered open. I was in a room. The walls white with small details. I was in a bed. Am I dead? Elrond walked in the room to see me awake.

"Oh thank goodness your awake Kili was starting to worry." He said with a smile.

"Oh really." I said with a smirk.

"Well more like pacing and about every hour asking if you were awake." Elrond said with a light chuckle.

"Can I see him?" I asked.

"Yes your clothes where washed and the dwarves are dining. I will see you there." Elrond said leaving the room.

I slid into my legging and threw on my underdress. It was thin yet very warm. I put on my other dress that was black and silver. I quickly laced up my corset and hiking boots. I left my cloak. I didn't need it. I was surprised I could walk. Elvish healing is amazing. I sprinted to the dining area to see Kili not eating just looking down at his food.

"You probably thought I was dead didn't you?" I said with a smile.

"Lucy!" They squealed. Kili sprung up and ran towards me. I flung myself in his arms and squeezed. We stood there laughing. Why. Well I don't really know. He clasped his hands on my cheeks.

"I'm never going to let you go." He said.

"I'm not going anywhere quick." I replied. We hugged for a good 5 minutes. Until Thorin cleared his throat.

"Thorin don't interrupt young love." Gloin said.

"That's not young love it's called my nephew wanting to sleep with Lucy." Thorin said.

"It's not like that uncle she is different." Kili said looking into my eyes.

"Oh get a room you to." Fili said laughing.

All the boys burst into laughter. Kili's cheeks flushed red and I joined in on the laughter. Since when did Kili blush. I ate dinner but only a little. There was no meat. But the salad was very good if I do say so myself.

We went to the chambers and set up camp. I put my blanket right next to Kili. His smirk spread across his face.

"Do you want to go get my pack and cloak with me?" I asked.

"Yes. Let's go." He replied standing up. We walked threw the halls getting lost twice we finally arrived.

"Oh this place is nice." Kili said.

"I know right." I reply. I grab my pack and cloak putting my pack over shoulder.

"Give me that." He said taking the pack from my shoulder.

"You don't have to." I reply.

"I know but I want to." He said. I started to blush. "Since when do you blush?" He said giggling.

"I am asking myself the same thing." I admitted. We walked back but before we got to the camp.

"Lucy when you got bitten by the Warg. I'm so sorry I should have been there." He said pulling me close.

"Kili there was nothing you could have done. Fate chose you to save me. That is good enough for me." I said wrapping my arms around his neck.

"I know. But I still feel guilty." He said with a puppy dog look on his face.

"Don't." I said sounding desperate. Kili began to lean in. I leaned with him and our lips met in a passionate kiss. He put his hand on my hips lifting me up slightly. I pulled on the back of his neck wanting him to be closer. I didn't want to this to end. Not now not ever. We pulled away at the same time gasping for air. We laughed at each other.

Kili put his hand around my shoulder and we walked into camp with no shame. But I knew if Thorin found out he would have a Warg . I knew Thorin did not like me. And he hates the idea of me fancying Kili. Gloin started a fire and everybody began cooking sausages and other meats.

"Really guys." I said.

"What?" Fili replied.

"Oh Durin. Never mind." I said.

I lay down on my blanket next to Kili. I was so tired. The lads chatted for another hour until. They fell asleep. I scooted towards Kili. He pressed against me. He put his hand on my hip and pulled me into his hips. I dozed off in his arms.

I woke up to laughing. I opened my eyes to see Fili, Gloin and Bofur.

"You poor bastards." I said. Kili woke up also he rested his head on my arm. He always could make me smile. No matter what mood. But that smirk his smirk drove me insane.

"What did I say young love." Gloin announced. I began to blush. I packed my things and we walked out of Rivendell. We took off for the mountain pass. We passed the time by singing songs and telling stories.

"Okay lass your turn." Bofur said.

"Are any of you married?" I asked. Their faces where priceless. It was a mixture between what and no.

"I am." Gloin said.

"Awe." I said in a girly voice.

"What's it like?" Kili asked.

"Interesting to say the least. I think about her all day. I truly love her." He said.

"What is love like?" Kili asked.

"Kili why are you asking all the love questions?"I ask.

"I want to know what it is like." Kili replied.

"Sure you do lad. And it's good to know the women you love will be there. They will never leave you." Gloin said.

"I will not leave you. Not now not ever ." Kili whispered in my ear. A smile spread across my face I was so happy.

We walked into the mountains and a huge thunder storm hit. The ground was shaking. A boulder was thrown above our heads this was no thunderstorm. These where Thunder giants.

"Lucy get back." Kili said grabbing me. We shielded our heads from the rubble.

We ran to get past them. But it was violent. We stopped under another over hang.

But then the rock began to separate.

"Kili grab my hand!" Fili shouted.

The rocks got far away. We were on the knees of a storm giant. It walked and hit the side of the mountain. Half of us jumped off. But the other half including Kili was stuck. The giant fell back it's knees hitting the path in front of us.

"Kili No!!!" I screamed I went running over but as the rock fell away I could see Kili laying on the path. Thank Durin.

"Are you okay?" We asked at the same time.

"I'm fine but are you ok?" He asked. When it came to my well being Kili always sounded desperate to know. It made me feel all warm on the inside.

"I'm okay. I'm so glad your ok." I said leaping on to him. He wrapped his arms around me.

"Where is Bilbo?" Bofur said.

"Here!" The hobbit yelled out.

Dwalin and Ori reached down. But Thorin jumped done to grab him and basically flung him on to the edge.

"We need to find shelter!" Thorin shouted.

"I found a cave!" Dwalin said back.
