He told her he has always liked playing soccer and that he's captain of the school team, so every day, she makes it a habit to wait by the field for him to finish training before walking home.
Yuna walks up the bleachers and sits down in the middle overlooking the entire field, taking out a text book to start revising for her test the next day. She is leaning her chin on her palm with the book in her lap when she hears Youngmin's voice shouting her name from the field below.
"Ya, Jang Yuna!"
She looks away from her book to see him waving wildly at her with both hands and motioning for her to come down already, a wide smile on his face that she can easily see from the bleachers and a towel around his neck. She quickly closes her book and grabs the strap of her bag, jogging down the stairs to meet him.
"You're done already?"
"Just ended. I didn't see you arrive, though. Did you wait long?"
She shakes her head, returning his smile with red cheeks and a laugh. "I just actually got here."
"Ah," he chuckles and takes the towel from around his neck, casually rubbing his fringe with it, "Now, hold on just a bit, I have to get my stuff."
Youngmin jogs off in the other direction and she takes that chance to put her book back in her bag before she drops it.
It's a few minutes before six in the evening, and the sun is already setting and causing the sky to turn a light shade of mixed orange and yellow. Yuna likes the sunset; he does, too.
He returns to her wearing a dry shirt and his fringe still wet with sweat. His bagis hanging over his shoulder and he casually slings his arm around her, leading her out of the campus as if she doesn't know the way out.
He's normally like this, and it sends her heart into a beating frenzy every day.
"So, how was your day, Yuna?" Youngmin starts first, looking down at her.
Yuna glances up at him for a second and almost forgets all her words. His dyed red hair with the light of the sun really makes him look extremely good looking. She swallows and licks her lips to wet them before answering.
"Nothing new, I guess. Except for Yerin being weird in front of you during break. Yours?"
"Me?" He says slowly, humming lightly under his breath. "Well, it's the first time I've tried running for student council out of all my years in high school, and you know this is my last year, so it was surprising to see your friend being so vocal upon supporting me."
Yuna closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, cursing Yerin in her mind. "I swear, Yerin's not normally that weird."
Youngmin laughs, then asks, his tone serious all of a sudden. "Does she like me, though? I got that really weird feeling that one of you two did, and I highly doubt it was you."
She freezes in her step, and his arm falls off her shoulder, stopping and looking back at her. Did he really think that Yerin likes him?
"Yuna? What's up?"
Yuna quickly grabs her thoughts again, shaking her head and walking forward to keep up with him while ignoring his confused expression.
"Nothing, nothing, and Yerin, well, she never really said anything about her liking you." She tells him, walking half a step farther away from him than before. Because it's not Yerin who likes you, it's me.
