“Emma…We need to go!” I heard Merlin calling me so I opened my eyes.
“Where are we going?” I was really tired and confused.
“Back to Camelot, of course!” he said.
“Where are the others?” I looked around.
“They all went to the stream to get fresh water.”
“Vilia…” I said to myself.
“What?”
“Nothing, em, Merlin where’s Mordred?” I asked.
“I think our spell worked really quickly. He’s healed.”
“Yes, our spell, right.” I said.
Did a Vilia really came to me or did I dreamed it? I didn’t really bothered too much with that question. I stood up and went to the stream. I found Gwaine and Percival splashing each other with the cold water. So childish.
Then Gaius came to me. “Ah, you’re awake that means we can go…” he turned to the knights.
We both looked at Mordred. His wound was really gone.
Gaius noticed that and asked me quietly ”Did you and Merlin cast a spell on him?”
“Are you mad at us?” I asked.
“No, but it’s dangerous to use magic. Morgana could find us… And what should I say to the other knights? They already asked me about that…”
“Tell them that a Vilia appeared and that I saw how she healed him.” I said looking at the knights.
“Well, that’s a great excuse. Where did you come up with that?” he asked.
“I have a big imagination, soo...” I said.
We went to our horses. Arthur was there with Merlin and Leon.
“Then what’s her destiny?” I heard from far. They saw us coming so they stopped the conversation.
“Ah you’re awake!” Arthur said.
Why is everyone saying that? How long was I asleep? Doesn’t matter, we need to go back to Camelot.
Everyone sat on their horses and we started riding back “home”. I started talking to my horse
“Don’t you dare go your own way. If you do I will, I will, I won’t give you any carrots. Aha! Then you’ll suffer the whole day long!” then someone interrupt me.
“Are you trying to impend the horse with carrots?” it was Mordred.
“I guess so…” I turned around.
“What’s his name anyways?” I asked all of them.
“I don’t think it has a name…” Mordred answered.
“Oh, is that so…Then I’ll call you Phoebus. It means bright.” Oh if you wonder how Phoebus looked like, he had brown hair with a white stripe on his head.
I looked at my clock. Wow! 2 hours passed away and it felt like 5 minutes. We laughed at each other and shared a conversation together.
“How long till we’re back in Camelot?” I asked.
“About an hour or so…” Arthur said. Suddenly Arthur’s horse stopped walking.
“I guess they’re tired. We should take a rest here.” Gaius said.
“Sounds like a great idea!” Gwaine shouted.
“Alright. Leon and Percival try to find a stream near here, Merlin be so nice and look for something to eat.” Arthur said quickly.
“Great!” Merlin complained.
“Emma, Mordred you can help him out. Gwaine you should feed the horses.”
“Yes, sire.” Gwaine said.
“And what are you going to do?” Merlin asked.
“I’m the king! I command here and as we all know without a commander you all would be lost here. Am I right? ” Arthur said.
“Yes sire!” Merlin shouted annoyed.
“Come Gaius we should take a rest here. ”Arthur smiled.
“O.K. then, where should we start?” I asked.
“You know we won’t catch anything if you’re shouting like that.” Mordred laughed.
“Oh sorry.” I said a bit embarrassed.
Merlin and I looked around and saw a deer from the far. We slowly stepped closer but then we heard Arthur calling us as if something really horrible happened. That act of course scared the deer and it escaped. I looked in one direction and saw a shadow.
“There!” I shouted what caused Mordred to ran after the mysterious creature.
Merlin and I went back to Arthur. They found a dead Camelot patrol and a wrecked cart.
“What happened?” Merlin came running towards the dead body.
“Probably the work of Saxons.” Arthur said looking around.
“I saw a shadow there, probably the murder.” I said pointing.
“Where’s Mordred?” Leon asked.
“He ran after it!” I said.
“If this were Saxons then he’s in danger!” I heard Percival speaking.
I automatically started running towards Mordred. But when I came there I saw Mordreds back and on the ground was a scared young women.
“Kara? Go!” he whispered.
I was confused. I started running back to the other knights. When I came back there they asked me “Where is he?”
“I couldn’t find him.” I catched my breath. Then Mordred appeared form behind.
“Did you find the Saxons?” Gwaine asked.
“Hm.. No.” It seemed like Mordred didn’t know what happened.
He bent a bit and saw the dead knights and immediately realized what really happened here. I did as well.
“No It was a deer.” He finally spoke.
“Are you sure?” Arthur asked him.
“Yes.” He said.
They all went to the horses leaving me standing there in my thoughts. Why did he let her go so easily?
