Arthur's Return (Merlin BBC)

Chapter XIII.

Merlin dragged me into Gaius chamber to show me something.

“Quick give me your crystal!” he said.

“Why? What are we doing?” I said confused.

Merlin looked at the bookshelf searching for a particular book.

“The prophecy started. That means I need to show you this.” He took a big book and brought it in front of me.

“What is this?” I said.

Merlin didn’t answer straight away, he was too busy scrolling through the book. But the book was completely empty.

“Merlin, you do see that there’s nothing written in this book, do you?” I asked.

”Hm… Oh yeah, this is the Prophecy book,Kilgharrah told me about it and I somehow found it.”

 “Who’s Kilgharrah?”I asked.

Merlin looked curious and then slapped himself in the face.

“Right! I didn’t tell you about him. He’s a dragon.”

 “A dragon? What does a dragon have to do with all this?”

“Emma, less talking more working…” he took the crystal and said some weird spell that I don’t really remember.

The crystal started glowing and the letter’s started to show.

“What does it say?”

“It’s just a spell you will learn for the day you will change everything.”

 “What?”

“Emma! Listen, this spell will change everything that we know, the future and us all. This spell will be the key for a happily ever after. You need to remember this very well, do you understand?” Merlin said seriously.

“I do, but, when I know it’s the time to use it? What if I miss it and everything is gone by then?”

“You won’t. You won’t cause I believe in you.” He said smiling at me.

“Thank you, Merlin. But if I only need to say a spell, why couldn’t you do that at that time, I mean, I don’t even know how to use magic.”

“You are the chosen one, I’m just your guide. And I promise you, you will be ready by then.”

“I hope so…” I said smiling.

Suddenly Gaius came and was really surprised to see us.

“Aaa, Emma, Merlin! I see you started with the lessons.”

“What? Does Gaius know about this?” I asked.

“Of course I know, I’m Merlin’s closest friend. I know much about the prophecy and you don’t have to worry, I won’t tell anyone.” He said walking past us.

“Well I better go, I’m sure Gwen is really worried about me.”

I soon came to her chambers and knocked on the door.

“Come in!” I hear her friendly voice shouting.

“Your Majesty…” I bowed down and smiled at her.

“Oh Emma, where were you so long? I started to worry and even taught to send a knight into the woods to look after you.”

“I came back earlier, but I needed to do something with Merlin.”
