“Thank you Arthur.” I said whispering.

“No worries, you’re still my little sister.” I looked up to him smiling.

I don’t have a brother or sister but at that moment I felt the connection between us. I always wanted a big brother. And now I found him. I went to my chambers to change into a dress. When I did it, I slowly walked down the hallway.

But then I suddenly saw Mordred walking around the corner and decided to follow him insensibly. I was surprised to see him sneaking into Gaius' chambers and stealing some healing potions. That was very suspicious.

I wanted to follow him again, but Gwen caught me and asked “Oh Emma! Would you like to go on a horse ride with me?” she was really friendly and I couldn’t say no. Especially to the Queen of Camelot.

We made a walk all around Camelot and a part of the forest. Of course there were knights with us because no one would let us go alone. We decided to go back because it was getting dark. But then I saw Mordred in the corner of my eye and said to myself “Where’s he going?”

What did you say?” asked Sir Leon.

“Oh nothing…” I looked back but then quickly added

“You know what? I’ll stay a bit longer it’s so magnificent.”

“I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Percival said.

Yes, you never know what creatures are here…” Gwen added.

“Haha… No I can watch out for myself. I even have my sword here, and I promise I’ll come right after you.

“I’m still not sure about that, but I trust you. You can stay here.” Gwen said.

I waited for them to disappear. Then I followed Mordred’s footsteps.

I couldn’t believe my eyes. He was there with this girl, he gave her the potions to treat her wounded  leg. I guessed they known each other for years, and are deeply in love with each other. I was hiding behind a big tree and listened to their conversation.

“Your leg?” he asked her.

“It isn't deep.”She said quietly.

„Let me see. I'll clean it. These will help it heal…

“What're we going to do?”

“I'm going to help you get better.” She looked at him seriously.

You're a knight.” She said.

“That doesn't matter.

Of Camelot. Why, Mordred?”

“Arthur is a good man.” He was right.

“I can't believe you'd say that-” she was really confused.

“You don't know him.”

”He's your friend?” she asked.

“Yes.” he said looking at her.

I couldn’t believe that he said that. He’s going to kill him. Arthur isn’t his friend. He’s his enemy. I was too focused on that sentence that I somehow broke a branch that was on the ground.

At that moment they both turned around to see if there’s someone. I quickly hid and hoped not to get caught.

Mordred, what was that?” she asked worried.

“Probably a deer…” he said a bit worried.

“Does he know who you are? You're a druid. You don't belong in Camelot.” The girl changed the topic.

“I believe in Arthur. You'll see. One day, it will change. You're safe here. No one will harm you, I promise.” He put a hand on her cheek.

Then he left, thankfully not seeing me. I came back to Camelot a bit later then Mordred and decided to ask him out about what happened earlier.

“Where've you been?” I asked him standing in the corridor.

“Nowhere.” He said quickly.

“You’re lying.I can tell when people are lying.”

“What right have you to question me? Why are you doing this? Everything I do you think the worst.” I moved closer.

“I saw you let a Saxon go. Maybe I should tell Arthur.” I was definitely playing with him.

She's a druid. I knew her. She was wounded. What could I do? Let her be captured? She had an arrow in her leg. She cannot walk.” he said.

Oh so it’s a SHE. You know you're taking a risk.” He rolled his eyes.

“I can't let her die. She's... someone... I can't explain.” I sighed.

“Your secret is safe with me. You have my word.” He looked at me confused but then walked away. I went to the other direction.

Suddenly a hand grabbed me. I wanted to scream but then found out it was only Merlin.

“What the hell?” I said angry.

“I heard what you said before.” He said. I just raised my eyebrows.

“So?

“I did the same as you. Everything you said I said as well. Well most of it.” he whispered.

“And?” I still didn’t get it.

It started.” He said quickly and grabbed my hand and ran with me down the hall.

“Where are we going?”  I said.

You’ll see.”
