Starring, Jack, Gobi, Jack's Mother, and Jack's Father

Author's Note: This is a sequel to the story "That Crow, His New Friend". This also takes place 5 years after it.

Gobi: *Walks inside from the backyard*. Come in, Young Master. Quickly, now.
Jack: Heh heh, I'm coming Gobi! *Follows behind him*.
Gobi: Into the kitchen, let's go. *Walks into the kitchen*.
Jack: *Follows him and stops in the doorway*. What's so important, Gobi? You seem excited about something.
Father and Mother: *Standing behind Gobi*. Happy 10th birthday, Jack!
Gobi: Happy birthday, indeed.
Jack: You guys, you shouldn't have! Thank you! *Walks over to them*.
Father: You've been growing up fast. As have you, Gobi.
Mother: I'll get the cake, it's in the fridge. Let me get it out so we can light the candles and have you blow them out! *Goes over to the fridge*.
Father: Yes, Gobi please get the lighter from the drawer there. I'll let you light the candles this year. Especially, since this marks the 5th year you've been serving Jack.
Gobi: I'm honored. *Opens the drawer*.
Mother: *Shuts the fridge door as she holds a lovely green cake*. Look Jack it's green, your favorite- *An arrow hits her in the arm from the window, making her drop the cake*. AHH!!!
Father: *!*. What the?! Who- *A man wearing a blue helmet and goggles bursts inside through the window with a sword in his hand*.
Gobi: You sir, have no right to be here! Leave, before- *The man slashes at Gobi, he luckily Dodges the attack*.
Mother: B-be careful, Gobi! *She's bleeding from her injured arm*.
Father: *Punches the man in the face, then kicks him in the knee, making them fall*. GET OUT!!! *The man throws his sword right into his chest*. AH!!!
Jack: Mom, dad!
Father: Gobi, get Jack out of here!
Gobi: W-what?
Mother: T-take him far a-away from here! T-that's an order!
Gobi: Right! Come now, Young Master! *Picks up Jack and runs outside to see their whole village being attacked*.
Jack: Gobi, what about mom and dad?!
Gobi: They'll be okay, it'll all be okay! *Runs forward pass people with the same helmet and goggles as the other man, there's also people from the village trying to fight back*.
Jack: Where are you taking me?!
Gobi: To your secret hideout, Jack. Don't worry. *Runs into the woods and slides down a hole, bringing himself and Jack to an underground shelter*. We're here, please sit. *Puts Jack down on a small bed to his left and sits next to him*.
Jack: Gobi, what's happening?!
Gobi: Ruby Shore is under attack, I don't know by who. We must stay here until the coast is clear.
Jack: Mom and dad will be okay, right?
Gobi: *Thinks for a moment, then looks at Jack with an unsure look*... I don't know... *There's a sound of two familiar screams in the distance*... Oh no, they can't be...
Jack: *Tears form in his eyes*... M-mom... D-dad...
Gobi: Jack... I'm... I'm sorry, I'm so sorry...
Jack: *Hugs Gobi tight as he cries into his black suit*..... G-Gobi..... They're..... They're.....
Gobi: Shh... *Gently hugs back in attempt to comfort Jack*... I know. I'm sorry, I should've attacked that man when I had the chance. That's what I wanted to do.
Jack: Gobi... Promise you'll never leave me. I-I don't want to be alone... Not after this, p-please Gobi... *Sniff*...
Gobi: I promised to be your friend forever. I'd never even dream of leaving you, I'll always be here no matter what.
Jack: T-thank you, Gobi... T-thank you...
Gobi: Certainly, Young Master...
