"Isn't it weird about everyday the sun comes up and everyday it goes down?"
It is weird. Jimin lays in my arms looking out at the rising yellow ball that illuminates everyday life to everyone around the world. Now was it's time to shine on our side while it puts other to rest.
"It's the start of a new day Jimin."
He hums in a agreement. He adjust his head so that his soft gray strands bush against my chin. I can't help but to take my index finger, lay my hand of his head and swirl a single piece of his hair. He doesn't say anything, just keeps looking ahead, probably still wondering why that big bright spot of yellow is rising in the sky. His hair this color looked much nicer when I had chosen it and voluntarily agreed. This dull color of his head was not as bright at him, it didn't express his old being well.
"You wouldn't mind if we change this color?"
"Change it?"
"Like mine."
He adjust his head so that instead of laying it on my head, he sits forward to look at me. His back is no longer pressed on my chest but his lower remains doing so. His bland eyes scan my hair, the black color looked more alive than him.
"I don't care."
I sigh. "Didn't think you would."
He shrugs and take his old position back, his back against my chest. "Then why did you ask?"
"Because it's your hair, your choice."
He doesn't say anything nor does he make a movement. The bright color of the sun lays on the ground of the home and on the surface of the blank draped over us. I cherish the moment as much as I can, I am not sure just when I might get to have another. Jimin had not fought me when I switched out positions earlier, he complied without a say. His behavior is odd, his thoughts are odd, he is odd.
"Well good morning! Even the dead are up and early!"
I turn my head to see Jin walk towards us with a smile on his tired face. I fake a laugh at his terrible joke to which he chuckles to. He gives me a thumbs up before heading to the kitchen. Sound of the boards above us begin to echo through the house and then screams.
"You're going to be late!"
"Don't tell me what I'm going to be Hyung!"
It was a battle between the young and old. The fight consisted of the two for the most part until Namjoon interfered with a large yell of them to keep it down. Jungkook did not show his face and when he did, he was ready for school. He greeted me in a whisper, to his brother he said nothing. I wait for him to disappear into the next room before speaking to the dead.
"You use to take him to school on mornings like this, even use to drag me along you know."
He does not speak for sometime and I don't expect him to no more but he eventually does mutter words. "Does that mean we use to live together? Are we siblings?"
I chuckle lowly at the suggestion. "No."
"Friends?"
I shake my head. "A little more than that but I guess you can say that too."
In a swift movement he turns to look at me, his gaze is different. It's much softer than I've seen it since he died. This was a look unlike any other he's shown in the past two week, it was one I have witnessed only when blood pumped through his veins.
"A little more?"
The words leave his mouth and for once they carry some emotion. His tone was soft and curious, one I never thought I'd want to hear. I nod my head slowly as he leans in closer. If he was living his breath would be on my skin by now but with two corpses that doesn't happen.
"Yoongi."
That's the last word to leave his parted lips before they press against mine.
