My friend lies six feet under ground, where she should have laid about three years ago. Where all of us should be, in the ground where the eyes of the living don't roam. That is our place on this earth yet we selfishly walk among those with breathes, blending our non-existent souls with their. Us the dead live like the living, not giving a damn. Now that may not be something we will continue to do for much longer for we might all soon return to that spot the earth has destined ours.
"Why so serious?"
My head to turns to face the angelic face of my favorite corpse, his eyes scan mine curiously.
"Is something wrong?"
I take his body hostage and he does not stop me. He let's his cold being be engulfed by my cold arms and a kiss from my stale lips be placed on his temple. Jimin let's the silence be as we look out the window to the neighbors. A woman was gardening her plants without a worry in a world, not even the single thought that she might be being watched appeared in her head.
"No." I lied to him shamelessly. "Just...dead things."
His hands plants itself on top of mine. "I'm dead too, I should know these dead things."
"Old dead stuff, nothing you young corpse should worry about. Just quit asking Jimin."
I expect him to go against all I ask and throw a tantrum like he'd been doing so before whenever he didn't get what he wanted. He doesn't, he turns his body so that he faces me, his thighs at my side. With his small hands, he reaches for my hair and twirls it in between his slender fingers. His jaw moves just like how his eyes did on my face.
"What are you chewing on?" I asked curiously.
"Gum, Jungkookie gave me some but that's not important because I have a better question. Who was that woman that came earlier and why did you close the door? Is she someone you don't want me knowing?"
At this I raise my eyebrow, he's taken interest in someone whose not taken interest in him. He put the same blank expression as always but I don't buy it.
"Why so curious?"
He shrugs his shoulders. "Just interested to know why you closed the door before you talked to her. Can't I not know about her or do you not want me to know?"
There it is again, an emotion. He looks down, his eyebrows higher than usual on his face and his lips pushed out as if he were thinking deeply. I know my boy better than he know himself right now so I decide to have a little fun.
I press my elbow against the cushion of the seat and with an unamused face shrug like he had.
"Maybe, maybe not. Not like you care right? Didn't you say what ever comes out of my mouth is not interesting? I wouldn't want to bore you by telling you who she was and what business she has with me."
At this his eyebrows furrow and they become clearer from below his brown hair. He shakes himself off quickly when he notices the small smile forming on my lips. He clears his throat and tries to move away from me but I don't let him. My arm around his waist keeps him set in place.
"Is that not what you said?" I ask mockingly despite well knowing it's not.
"It's not! You're twisting my words!"
His two small hands turn into two small fist and they begin pounding against my chest. He grunts as he does but it doesn't last very long for my hands wrap around his wrist to stop his recklessness. He stares angrily into my eyes as he struggles to remove himself from my grip.
"Are you jealous baby? Finally feeling?" I let out in a whisper that stops every muscle in his body.
I don't waste another second to connect our lips. Like today, many surprise have been in store and Jimin is one of them. He reciprocates the action and even flattens his cold hands on my chest. Soon those hands engulf the fabric and fist form once again.
"Hey! Stop that!"
Jimin pulls away from me at the voice of the owner of the house. With an annoyed expression he stands up and hits me with a nearby pillow before marching out of the room. I turn my upper body and smile at Jin whose hands are on his waist. I push my tongue out to reveal the chewed up gum on it which leads the younger beside him to throw his book bag at me.
"You're disgusting!" He screams before too storming out of the room. I can't help but let out loud laughter of amusement.
"He just watched two corpses make out, one being his brother. You couldn't have been nicer?"
I scoff. "He shouldn't have thrown his book bag at me."
Jin shakes his head, he lets out annoyed sigh. With one last glare he turns on his heels to leave the room but I call after him. After much whining he agrees with my request to speak outside.
"This better be good, I'm hungry."
"I buried a dead friend last night and-"
"Yoongi that's sick!" Jin threw his hands up. "What kind of a friend does that! Don't remind them what they are! Why!?"
"No! Like she was dead dead! God Hyung! Let me finish!" I scream in his face. "We buried her because she had to be!"
His face goes blank and his face goes pale. His widen eyes look around me, to his lawn, the sky, his fence, and then back at me. He mumbles words I don't understand so I proceed to explain what happened. All that had happened yesterday, my sister, the reunion with my dead friends, and the burial of the corpse who finally left this world like she was suppose to three years ago.
"So there's a possibility you might...?" He asks quietly, fear taking over his features. I nod my head slowly but not for long. We are both distracted by the bright light that peeks from the door we had closed and the innocent face of a corpse.
"Jimin-"
"You said you wouldn't leave! You asshole!"
I stand still and watch as the young man leaves the house. I do not chase after him, just watched his back move further away from us.
