Soul stands outside Maka's room walking nervously back and forth. After hearing sudden footsteps coming up behind him he turns around and looks at Professor Stein pausing in front of him at the door.
"Soul? It's a little late to be here don't you think?" Stein asked.
"SOmething's wrong with Maka" Soul blurts out.
Stein nervously looks towards the door, 'What's wrong? Is she okay?"
"I- I don't know...I couldn't sleep so I went for a walk...and I had a bad feeling"
'A..bad feeling? Soul this is serious-"
'I know that just- just listen. I felt something was wrong, so i wanted to check up on maka...and she was screaming..." He said nervously, shivers running up his spine.
"But the alarm didn't sound Soul, as far as we know there was no sound in this hall-"
'It was in my head...I- I could hear it, I ran in and- and she was tossing and turning, scratching at the bed. It took all I had to wake her up...Professor something is wrong, I know it"
Stein took a deep breath.
'What? What is it?"
"...Her memory might be coming back"
Soul's eyes widen, "But- but..."
"I know, after a few tests we determined that it would only be a matter of time before they came back, and now...I guess we were right"
"So what will happen to her? What did happen to her?"
"Soul...this is a conversation for another-"
"Professor...just. Tell. Me"
"...Her blood was infected by Medusa's black blood. We were able to get to her just in time, but...if her memories come back to quick too soon, the side effects from the black blood will take effect...and most likely..."
His last words were like knives in the chest....
"...destroy her"
