V and MC found themselves walking underneath the bright, warm sun as they laughed and talked. For some reason, they were comfortable around each other, even though they just met yesterday. They acted like childhood friends, and people who noticed them, probably thought so, or with the way they were connected to one another, people would think they were a happy couple enjoying the weather.
Soon they reached her house and she pulled out her keys from her small purse that hung loosely around her shoulder. She easy opened the door, and they moved from a sunbathed atmosphere, to a darker one with powered A/C. V had only been in this space but one time, but he felt so at home here, or maybe it was because he was with MC, a fellow artist? He didn't know, but he enjoyed the feeling. It had been so long since he's been so relaxed and at ease for this long.
"If you'll follow me, I'll show you the last piece of 'Luna' art." V chuckled and followed after MC who had taken down her hall. She had opened a room that when V entered it, he felt like he just traveled to a different world. It was like an art studio. All the pieces she had created and kept for herself, or hadn't gotten around the donating, hung on the walls, sat against the wall on the ground, sat upon easels, there were even some that hung from her ceiling.
"Sorry if it smells kinda dusty in here, the pastels have a tendency to shave all the time, so if you sneeze, it's not my fault." towards the back of the room was a small desk with all sorts of art supplies scattered across it. She walked up to her desk and started to place small items in a small wood case. She placed pencils of all kinds, paint brushes, paints, a carton of pastels, a few sketchbooks and canvas panels. It'd be too difficult to transport stretched canvases at the moment.
She securely fastened the case and lifted it up to her chest, holding it as she sighed. She wouldn't be so bored over in that new apartment now at least. She turned to V as she then pulled his attention over to a wide, open space on one of the walls. She placed the case back down on her desk and ran to grab something out of the room. She she came back, she had a canvas and without an second guessing, she carefully hung it on the wall. She took a few steps back and admired it, before placing her hands on her hips and huffing triumphantly.
"Alright, that looks good to me." She turned to V and smiled. "This is the finished product, and I even placed it on the wall were in the evening, when the sun is setting, the light from the window would make it seem almost fairytale like. Have yourself a look V." V has slowly walked up to the canvas and his eyes widened behind his shades.
The picture, it was beautiful.
Had she really seen his photographs this way? Were his pictures this mesmerizing to her. Right now, even with his fading sight, looking at her art, he felt so light and peaceful. If this is what others though with his photos, he'd wish he could take pictures for the rest of his life. He had never thought he'd want someone to recreate his work before, much less do it, but now he wanted her to make more. This feeling he felt, it made me feel almost drunk. Light and fluffy.
"Well, opinion? Any tips or critiques?" V stared at the picture longer.
"It gorgeous." V looked at MC and smiled. "I wish all my pictures could be created like this." MC smiled and grabbed a pen from her desk and handed it to V. He looked at the pen then back to her.
"Sign it."
"What?" MC chuckled. She grabbed his hand and uncapped the pen, pulling his hand to the canvas.
"I want you to sign it. I want my favorite piece of mine to be signed by my favorite photographer. Besides, without your photo, this wouldn't even exist." She smiled as she let go of his hand, having it hover over the piece.
"Are you sure?" MC smiled.
"Of course!" V smiled back as he neatly signed his cursive 'V' next to her alias on the bottom right corner. It was the feeling of cooperation on this piece and the selflessness MC showed that touched V's heart.
"Thank you so much." MC smiled at her, finally, complete piece of art.
"It's been a pleasure working with you V. Hopefully you'll let me work like this with you again." MC reached her hand out to offer V a handshake. He happily returned it, clasping his larger hand with hers.
"Of course. You can recreate any of my photos if they're always this beautiful." MC laughed, grabbed her case and soon the two left, returning to Rika's apartment where V dropped her off for the day and they went their separate ways. Just for today though, V wanted to see her again.
And soon.
