Zayns family were more welcoming than I was expecting them to be. Zayns mum was being especially nice. When Zayn went upstairs for a shower she came and sat next to me on the sofa for a chat.

‘Yes I do and I would do anything for my boy. I’m just glad that its you he likes because you’re lovely. I’m one of those protective mums, but I can see the way he looks at you, he’s fallen for you hard. I know you haven’t had much time to get to know each other properly and just chill but you already seem to click. I’m glad you make my son happy’

‘If I’m honest I was so worried that you would hate me, but I feel much better now i've spoken to you and you approve. I know it’s not going to be easy because of Louis, but I know we can make it work, so thank you for being so supportive’

‘Aw, come here, welcome to the family’

She came and hugged me.

‘My son has chosen well with you’

At this point Zayn came into the living room and joined our hug.

‘Just kill the moment Zayn’

‘Oh, well sorry. I will just wait until you’re finished with my mum. That’s cool. Not as if I like hugs or anything’

‘Oh, Zayny, are you jealous?’

‘Yes, but I’m glad you two are getting on so well’

I stopped hugging Trisha and went and hugged Zayn.

‘Happy now?’

‘Yes’

‘Good’

Zayns mum got up and started to leave the room.

‘I'll leave you two to it’

‘Thanks mum’

I sat on the sofa snuggled into Zayns side while we watched ‘Russell Howard’s good news’ on the TV.

‘So you seem to be friends with my mum?’

‘She’s really nice, she said some nice things to me’

‘Like what?’

‘She’s glad you like me because I’m lovely’

‘See I told you there was nothing to worry about’

‘Do you think were moving too fast?’

‘What do you mean?’

‘Well the first time we spoke was less than a week ago, now I’m at your house in a secret relationship with you, but that’s only because my brother is Louis Tomlinson and he would kill you if he found out. Anyway this isn’t about Louis, are you sure about this? Are you sure we haven’t rushed things?’

‘Yes I am sure. I know what I want and I have it, so what if it’s happened quickly. It just how things have happened’

‘No regrets?’

‘None at all’

I smiled and rested my head on Zayns chest while he played with my hair. I close my eyes, and fell asleep smiling.
