A/N: Hey just to let you guys know, I'm currently out of town on vacation so updates might be a little bit slower. Hope you enjoy the chapter!

Exhaustion was an understatement when it came to describing just how Katy was feeling. Not only physically from working so hard towards her goals and providing for her family, but mentally and emotionally as well. After leaving the Matthews she entered the condo using the key that Bobbie Jo had lent her, with every intention of going straight to bed.

When she walked in, Bobbie Jo was up waiting for her, much to Katy's surprise.

The brunette was sitting on the couch, a bottle of Brandy, a 2 liter bottle of cherry coke, and plastic red solo cups in front of her on the living room table.

"Honey, I'm home" chimed Katy as she sat her purse down.

"Welcome home, honey. We're drinking" replied Bobbie Jo confidently.

Katy, realizing she probably could use a drink or two, joined her friend on the sofa and poured her drink.

They were silent for a little while, but it was a comfortable silence among friends. Finally, Katy broke the silence.

"I talked to Shawn today. Sort of.." said Katy.

Bobbie Jo turned her attention to the blonde, a hint of concern washing over her features. "How'd it go? What happened?"

Katy searched her mind for words to describe the interaction she had with her husband outside of the Matthews apartment. And the elevator...

"Nothing really happened. I can't tell if he's still angry with me or not so it's weird. But we agreed to get together tomorrow and discuss things.." replied Katy as she took a sip of Brandy.

"Speaking of discussing things..." said Bobbie Jo.

Katy looked at her with a questioning glance.

"There's this commercial being shot in LA and I think you'd be really good for it. And before you say no, it would only be for a couple of weeks so you wouldn't be gone from your babies for too long" Bobbie Jo explained.

A commercial deal in LA? This would be another perfect opportunity for Katy to further her acting career, but not at the cost of tearing apart her family any further.

"Bobbie Jo, I really don't know about this. It sounds great, but before I even consider committing to anything else, I need to take care of my family and make sure everything's good" said Katy.

Bobbie Jo nodded. "I completely understand, girl. Just let me know as soon as possible what you decide. Maybe talk to Shawn about it tomorrow?"

"I'll definitely let you know" confirmed Katy with a smile.

Despite the fact that they were in a fancy condo in New York City, sitting there with Bobbie Jo sipping liquor in red solo cups felt very reminiscent of the old days the two shared in Arkansas when they were young.

The way they were talking and simply enjoying each other, it was as if those years apart had never happened, as if nothing had changed.

Early the next morning at the Matthews, Topanga went to wake up her children. First, she woke up Auggie. Then she went into Riley's room to wake her and Maya, who spent the night.

She lightly tapped on the door and when she opened it her heart melted instantly at the sight before her.

Riley, Maya, and baby Shawn in the middle were all cuddled up on Riley's bed fast asleep.

Topanga quietly crept out of the room and went to get her phone so she could take a few photos.

"Cory, you should see the kids in there! They're all so adorable I almost don't want to wake them", cried Topanga.
