A Crush on an Old Friend

Gerard's POV

The show was starting soon and we were getting ready. Mikey was checking his bass and Ray was walking around practicing his back up vocals.

Frank came up to me minutes before the show was starting. "Hey Gee." He had the black crosses over his eyes and a hollow point smile. "Hello Frank. You ready for the concert?" We heard the crowd cheering in the background. "Yup, and Jayden will be watching so do good for your daughter."

"Oh I will." I laughed and we headed into stage.

We started the concert off with "I Never Told You What I Do for a Living". The crowd cheered as we all played. I looked over off stage and saw Jayden cheering with the crowd.

*time-skip: concert is ending*

"Thank you everyone! And goodnight!" I screamed into the microphone. Everyone screamed with me and fans were reaching out. I touched some people's hands and left the stage.

I saw Jayden and quickly went up to her. "Oh my gosh! You were so good, Dad!" She hugged me then hesitated after she realized what she said. "I mean, Gerard. Only if you want me to call you Dad then-" I pulled her back into a hug. "It's okay, daughter. Call me whatever you want." I laughed and we stayed like this for while. Maybe too long, but it felt nice to be with someone right now.

Frank then approached me and Jayden as we were talking about the concert. "Hey Gee. Hello Jay." He is already calling her nicknames? I swear he has a crush on my daughter.

"Hey Frankie." I replied. "Hey." Jayden said. He looked at her up and down and let out a small smile. "Frank, can we talk in private. Please?"

"And.... I will be leaving. Bye guys, see you on the bus." Jayden walked off to Mikey and Ray in the dressing rooms. I made sure she was gone before I would go out on Frank for being into my daughter.

"What's your problem?" I asked, a little too sour but it got the point across. "What do you mean?" Concern definitely going through his voice.

"You are into Jayden. Admit it." I sassed back. I crossed my arms and looked at him with suspicion. "Who said?" He crossed his arms to match my body language. "Your actions around her! You keep on looking at her and you flirt. You were tickling her this morning!" I was pissed. He can't keep this secret for long because he is showing it off too much.

He looked around and uncrossed his arms. "Okay, maybe a little bit. But you can't tell anyone. She's just, I can't explain how perfect she is." I never would have known how much Frank Iero was soft inside for his band mates daughter. You never know. He smile was too big at this point.

"Okay, but I never knew you would become so soft inside for someone. And remember, you're talking about my daughter," I ruffled his hair. "So dont get too obsessed." I walked off and heard him complain about his hair.

We were all getting back on the tour bus and I was just climbing the stairs when Jayden ran up to me.

"DAD! I NEED YOUR HELP!!" She grabbed my shoulders and made me stop in my tracks. "What is it? Are you okay?" I continued up the steps and put my stuff down on the floor. "I need to talk to you. I think I'm going crazy." We climbed up to her bunk and I sat across from her on the bed.

"What is it?" I was very concerned. She said she was going crazy, did she see dead people? I think I'm overthinking this conversation. "Oh gosh. How do I say this... Um. I. I think I might have a c-crush."

"On who? I know you're a fangirl but please don't have a crush on your Dad." This will be an akward father daughter relationship if that was so. "Hell no! Maybe before you became my Dad... Anyway. It's not you, but it might be.."

"Be who? You can tell me, it's okay. I probably don't know them." She looked at me with a 'duh' expression. "No you do, it actually might be... ugh. Okay I'm just going to say it. Frank."

I looked at her with complete shock. Frank Iero? The one who was lovesick with my daughter? This couldn't have worked out even better.
