Jayden's POV

I was dreading walking back home from school. But, I had to be back home before 4 or the punishment would be worst then the usual one.

I walked up the old brick steps to my front door. The all too familiar loud sound of the TV in the living room was coming through the door. I quietly opened the door knob and quickly closed it. Silent tears were already going down my face.

"Hello little slut. How was school? Learn anything about being responsible at home and listening to your father?" I quietly mumbled a 'no' and walked to the stairs to try and escape the beating. My father noticed and pulled my hair, me crying out in pain.

"You think you can escape? Ha! You are in it for sure today."

No no no. Please no. When he says that, it's going to be the worst one ever. I know from experience.

"No, please no! I will do anything please no!"

"Jayden!" I heard Gerard scream, waking me up from my horrific dream. "Jayden!" He bursts into my room and runs over to me.

"Are you okay? Sweetie, what happened?" I just laid my head into his chest and cried. He rubbed my hair softly and pulled me into his lap, shushing me to try and get me to talk.

I calmed down after a long while and just sat in his lap, still sniffing from the crying. "You ready to talk to me?" He pulled me off of him a little bit so I was looking directly at him. I never wanted to talk about this situation again. It was too scary for me to talk about that I would start to have a panic attack half way through. But, I can't just leave him worrying about me from this. He needs to know at some point anyway.

"I-it was a um... nightmare. Well, more like a flashback nightmare thing." I let out a small laugh and Dad put a reassuring hand on my shoulder, motioning for me to continue.

"It was a f-flashback from when I was 8. I was walking home from school and m-my dad was drunk, like always. But, h-he said that the punishment w-was going..." I let out a small cry and Gerard took it from here.

"It's okay, you don't need to continue. I think I know what happens next." He nodded his head and pulled me into another comforting hug. I just absorbed his warmth and happiness that was basically radiating off of him twenty four-seven. He was the best person ever. I swear he can make the whole room happy just by smiling. The way he makes pancakes for me when I want them for breakfast, when he gives soundcheck time up to talk to me, when we always hang out after concerts. He is the best Dad ever.

"Hey, how about me and you have a day to ourselves." He whispered in my ear. My eyes lit up at the idea and I instantly nodded my head a million times. He laughed, "Okay, well what do you want to do?"

"Movie marathon." I whispered back. "Onesies only." I added at the end. Gerard's face went from excited to confused.

"Onesies only?" I nodded my head and laughed. "Well, I'm going to have to find mine. You have a million around here," Gerard made hand motions to my room, "So it shouldn't be that hard for you to find one." He laughed.

"Oh my Geesus Dad! What did you do to your hair!" I just now noticed that on top of my father's head was short black hair with blonde roots in the back. It was not the best job I'd say.

"It's bad, isn't it?" He rubbed his hands through the mop on his head. I giggled and shook my head. He just sighed and hugged me one more time. "Love yah Jay."

"Love you too, Gee."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Dad!" I yelled, running down the stairs. "Dad, Dad, Dad!"

He turned around from the pantry and looked at me with wide eyes. "Yes my annoying one."

"You ready? We are watching all the Marvel movies. Captain America, Batman, Hulk, Black Widow, everything!" I exclaimed.

"Ohhh, sounds great!" He yelled back. "Nice onesie, by the way." He smirked.

I looked down at my skeleton onesie. Me and Dad are matching. Oh my Lord this is the time for an amazing Instagram moment.

"Gee! Instagram photo, now." I pulled out my phone from my pocket and pulled up Instagram.

"One, two, three!" I stuck out my tongue and clicked the button. I looked at the picture and Gerard had his eyes closed with duck lips. I laughed at how dumb we looked together.

"Send that to me, I'm posting it was well." Dad looked over my shoulder at the photo. "Let me post it first, impatient person."

The caption was short and simple, saying, "movie marathon with dad!" Then I, of course, tagged him in the photo and posted it. I sent the picture to Gerard then turned to the pantry and grabbed all the fruit snacks and frosting. Frosting is the best when you eat it out of the container. (( it honestly is though))

I ran to the living room and plopped down onto the couch. The first Captain America movie was already in so I pushed play.

"Come on, Dad! It's starting!" I yelled. Following after my words was Dad running towards me and engulfed me into a huge hug.

"This is going to be the best father daughter day ever!"
