"I Wasn't Drunk Jake"

Still Jake's POV:
I asked her what happened with my chin on her shoulder.

Tessa: "I just broke up with chance and he's leaving team 10 to go back to Ohio" she cried

Jake: "what? Why?"

Tessa: "I don't know Jake and this is why I'd don't want to date anyone in this house to begin with, I knew some shit like this would happen" she cried again.

Jake: "Tessa it's okay, yes, it's true, chance is my bestfriend but I'm just gonna let him let him be and and have some space to himself"

Tessa: *cries even more*

Jake: "Tessa stop crying your making me sad. Why are you still crying?" I ask

Tessa: "It just seems like all my relationships always go downhill and something bad happens to ruin it"

Jake: "in all our time of our friendship, we never really talked about our past relationships but what happened?" I ask her seriously

Tessa: "my first boyfriend Jake, my first ever boyfriend back in Fresno cheated on me, and ever since that first relationship, all had been fucked up"

Jake: "I've been cheated on by Alissa too Tessa and you know that, I know it is hard but believe me when I say it, it gets better especially when you have a friend like you to be there to cheer you up and comfort you" I smiled and she smiled back.

Tessa: "so..what is it again you said you wanted to talk about?"

Jake: "well I'm not sure if now is the perfect time to bring this up"

Tessa: "Jake it's either now or never"

Jake: "okay, okay"

Tessa: "so what is it?"

Jake: "so..remember when you were in the hospital?"

Tessa: "yea?"

Jake: "after the surgery you were drunk from the meds they gave you and..and you..you..kissed me" I said nervously

Tessa: "I wasn't drunk Jake" she said

Jake: "you weren't?!" I asked surprisingly

Tessa: "no I'm kidding I was but the only thing I can remember for my he hospital was our kiss and I remembered me saying that I have to break up with chance so I did"

Jake: "ohh well um yea, you look pretty tired, we'll continue the talk some other time maybe" I say as I play with her hair, we were both laying down beside each other.

Tessa: "ouch!" She jumped in pain.

Jake: "it's okay Tessa, lay down, just relax" I say as I ease her back down onto the bed, she was squeezing my hand really tight so I knew she was in a lot of pain.

Tessa: *jake I have asthma" she said as she breathed heavily.

Jake: "wait here!" I yelled as I ran to her room grabbing her inhaler from her bedside table.

Tessa: "did you find it?!" She asked while heavily breathing

Jake: "yes!" I replied as I directing the inhale to her mouth, she puffed the inhaler twice and then released.

Tessa: "here" she said as she handed me back the inhaler as though nothing had just happened

Jake: "what was that about?" I ask worriedly

Tessa: "when I get really bad pains I sometimes have mint asthma attacks"

Jake: "oh okay, your fine though?"

Tessa:"yea"

I hugged her around her neck because I didn't want to cause her anymore pain by cuddling her. She kissed my arm, we laid there for a while when I noticed her eyes closing slowly as she drifted off to sleep. She looks so freaking cute when she's asleep like damn. I found myself falling asleep on myself shortly after. We both laid there on my bed with the covers wrapped around us both. Tessa had to sleep on her back because if she slept in a different position it would cause her pain and it would take a longer healing process. I laid on my side facing Tessa.
