Chapter 1: Life as a Teen

In the town of Tarteria, people live in peace. Especially one young man, Arkaine Lura. As he sleeps in his bed his father knocks on his door to wake him up, "Arkaine! Wake up you must tend to the fields!" Yelled Edward, Arkaine's father. Arkaine mumbles and yells, "Father please let me sleep in! I'm tired from all the work!" Edward then enters the room and tells him, "This isn't like you, I didn't raise a slacker!" Arkaine just sighs and looks at him. after a few minutes of just staring at his father Arkaine says, "I'm sorry, it's just becoming so boring around here..." His father looks at him with confusion, "Why don't you talk to the other kids in the village? They might like to play with you my son." Arkaine looks off into the skies shining from the window. He is silent for about ten minutes, then tells his father, "I'm different from them... They wouldn't accept who I am..." Edward tells his son, "That isn't true, I'm sure they would love to meet you." Arkaine gets up from his bed, puts on his shirt and then tells his father, "I will talk to them if that makes you happy, father." His father, sighs then says, " My son, all I want is for you to be happy. I know if you talk to those kids you will make friends, friendship is one of the most important things in life and you must cherish it always." Arkaine turns away and yet again looks off to the skies. Edward starts to think, "What does he think of...? He is always staring at the sky..."

Arkaine walks over to the group of other teenagers across from his home. "Hey, look. It's that kid..." One of them says quietly, "You mean the one with Crimsona in his veins?" Said another. "Um... Hello... My name is Arkaine, what is yours...?" Asks Arkaine quietly. The teens are silent for a minute, then one speaks up, "I'm Toka." A boy with long blonde hair walks out from the group and holds out his hand. "It's nice to meet you." Arkaine, surprised by his behavior shakes his hand anyway. "The other boys are my 3 brothers, Tora, Tova, and Towa. The 3 boys wave hello and Arkaine, polite as he is waves back. He then sees a beautiful girl behind Toka, Her hair shining a slight green-ish color as if it were a flower. As Arkaine's face turns red, he asks, " Who is that...?" Toka looks at the girl and the girl jumps back a little. "Oh it's her again. Listen Tree Witch, if you looking for the girls they aren't here so buzz off." Toka says in a deep tone. The girls face turns red and she tears up a little, "I-I am sorry.. Toka..." she says. Toka replies, "Just because we are cousins, doesn't mean you can hang out with me 24/7. Now go away."

The girl walks away slowly, then Arkaine looks at Toka with anger, "What was that?! She could have been around us!" Toka looks at Arkaine with anger also, "Get used to it, if you hang with us, then that stuff happens." Arkaine holds up his hand, "Well then, farewell." Arkaine then walks off to the direction of the girl. "Toka, what do we do? You don't usually let her be happy..." said one of Toka's brothers, "Don't worry, I have a plan." says Toka with an mischievous smirk.
