Chapter 4: The Hooded Trio

As Arkaine and Leata head for Failaar, they have many experiences, the first is when they stumble across a cave they must go through to cross. "Is there any other way around...?" Asks Leata. "No, don't worry though, you got me around." Says Arkaine with a smile. They walk into the cave, to see that it's actually an underground village, completely abandoned. They walk through with caution, Arkaine stops in his tracks, "Who's there!" He yells out. He senses the presence of three people besides him and Leata, One comes in to attack Leata so he pushes her down and as the attackers blade passes over her body Arkaine's face is cut slightly. "I'm surprised you knew I was here...." Says the mysterious hooded man. He turns and the other two appear beside him. "What do you want with us?" Asks Arkaine. The hooded men laugh and the leader replies, "for your Crimsona, it's very powerful..." Arkaine looks at them in disgust and says, "I don't have time to play around with you clowns!"

As Arkaine walks over to help up Leata, The leader attacks him once more, cutting his shirt. "Give us the Crimsona or we will take it!" Arkaine cracks his knuckles and replies, "Fine, but lets make this fight quick, we have somewhere to be." The other two hooded men charge from each side, Arkaine's fist begins to glow a bright Crimson Red. The hooded men swing their hidden blades at Arkaine, but Akaine blocks the attack with his fists. As a bit of blood runs down his fist the Leader says to himself, "How can he block that without his hands getting chopped off?"

Arkaine then grabs their blades and throws each man into each other. His eyes glow a Crimson Red, but he realizes that the two he just took down were actually Toka's brothers, and the third brother was the leader of the group. When he realizes this, he tackles the leader and yells, "Where is Toka?!" The leader looks at him and replies, "Listen man, we don't know! He told us to come kill you guys and retrieve the Crimsona, but he moved bases so we couldn't bring it back even if we tried!" When Arkaine hears this he pnches the brother and knocks him out. "Damn! We will never find him!"

Leata sees some townspeople start coming out of their hiding places and praising them for beating up the brothers and stop their so called, "Reign of Doom" Later that night they stayed at a nearby motel in the village. As they prepared for bed, Leata looks over at Arkaine, who is still sad from the loss of his father. Leata sits next to him on his bed and asks, "You gonna be ok?" He sighs and nods yes. She gives him a hug and then lies down in her bed. Later that night she got u to drink some water, she sees Arkaine sleeping somewhat peacefully, she walks over quietly and kisses him on his forehead. She smiles and returns to sleep.
