Chapter 14: Athena's True Feelings

It's been 4 days since the plan was devised, on the 4th night at around 11:30 P.M. Arkaine went for a walk like he usually does around this time. He made his way to a nearby forest, when he sees Athena siting on a tree stump staring at the moon. "Hey Athena, what are you doing out this late?" Athena looks over and replies with laughter, "I could ask you the same thing." Arkaine shrugs and after a while of talking about things Athena looked down and looked like she was blushing.

"You alright?" Arkaine asks. Athena leans over and kisses Arkaine, to which he falls over and yells, "What are you doing?!" She shakes her head and says, "I'm sorry, it's just the way I feel for you..." Arkaine looks at her stumped and just asks, "Since when did you like me this much, We literally just met!" She looks over and smiles, "You're just handsome, your personality is great, I feel like I want to be with you forever..." Arkaine, flattered as he was, gets up and explains how he is starting a family with Leata. Athena hears this and begins to cry but Arkaine calms her down by telling her what his brother, Liam felt about her. "He loves me..?" Asks Athena, Arkaine nods and says, "Yes, he told me this the other day." She blushes as she looks behind Arkaine and sees Liam standing near the trees. She runs over and jumps into his arms, "I'm so sorry..." she said as she was held in his arms. "Don't be, I'm glad my brother could finally tell you," She looks up and asks, "How come you couldn't?" He looks down and simply replies, "Even the Noble Lion fears things, and I didn't know if it would end up like this if I told you how I felt..." She smiles and says, "Well no need to fear anymore.... I'm with you always..." Liam smiles and watches his brother walk off. "Thank you Arkaine, you're a great man..."
