What Amaru tells Arkaine, is the origins of Crimsona. It all started before the world was inhabited by humans, the gods protected the world. They soon lost their most of their power, but they needed someone to protect the world, they couldn't count on a mere mortal, they then created a beast made of special energy that is known as Crimsona. This beast guarded the world for years and years, but one day the gods lost control of the beast and it went on a rampage destroying villages and mountains. As the legend goes their was one man, born from the blood of a god, who froze the beast in its own energy, Crimsona. That man, born from the gods, then reshaped the areas of the world the beast destroyed, then returned to the heavens. "So then," Arkaine says, "The reason we look to the skies is because..." Amaru replies with, "Yes, the we feel that we belong up there, with them."
As the sun raised up into the sky, Arkaine, Leata, and Amaru, pack up and head off to the near exit. They are then confronted by a strange man. Just a glare from this man gave everyone a shiver down their spines. "I see, so you managed to almost make it out alive...." says the strange man. Arkaine confused asks, "Almost...?" The Strange Man nodded and took off a mask he was wearing, revealing his true face. It was a hideous snake looking face, with scales, fangs, and dangerous looking eyes.
Leata screamed in terror in the sight of this and Amaru and Arkaine stood there gazing into the man's eyes. They start to tremble, sweat runs down their faces, they breath heavily, and they begin to feel weak. "What is going on...? Why do I feel like this...?" The man then ran toward them to attack and knocked down Amaru on the way to Arkaine. "You're mine!!" Yelled the Snake man. But when he attacked a shield formed in between him and Arkaine.
The one who put up the shield was, "Leata!! Run!!" Yelled Arkaine. The Snake man grabbed her from behind and begin to choke her. "No one gets in the way of Viper!! No one!!" Arkaine suddenly lost all feelings of fear, and charged at Viper, kicking him towards the ground. He holds Leata in his arms and she tells him, "Thanks for saving me..." Arkaine nods and then sees something that crushed part of his heart forever, Viper was stabbing a sword into Amaru's stomach! "Amaru!!" He yelled. Amaru was out cold for the moment, Arkaine tackled Viper, as they struggled on the ground Arkaine's eyes begin to glow crimson red and he punches his hand straight through Viper's heart. Viper, died in an instant. Afterwards Arkaine ran over to Amaru and asks "Are you ok?! C'mon man speak to me!!!" Amaru opened his eyes but said nothing, all he did was hand him a sword he kept in a special sheathe. "Take it... It's...Yours...Now...." He said as his final words before dying. Arkaine gets up and takes the sword and puts in his newly gifted sheathe. "What now Arkaine...?" He looks at the body of Viper and sees the symbol of the Blood knights. "He was one of the Blood Knights...." Leata looked at him and said, "So what do we do...?" He points to the town up ahead, "We'll rest there for the time being."
