Once five o'clock rolled around I was exhausted. I really like working here though. I turn around the sign that says open and changed it to closed, then I go back into the kitchen to help James with the dishes.
" So how was your first day?" James asks after every thing was finished.
" I really enjoyed it." I answer with a smile.
" That's good." He says putting on his jacket. " You should probably go talk to Daisy. She's in her office." He says. I nod and wave goodbye to him before walking to her office. Her door is wide open so I walk in.
" Hey Daisy." I say, she looks up at me and grins.
" How was your first day?" She asks. I smile.
" It was great. I really enjoy working here." I reply. She nods.
" That's good because you're a really good worker and good to the customers. Now here's your work schedule and everyone gets paid on Fridays." She says, giving me the paper that had a big smiley face drew in blue. I smile at it then I give Daisy a hug.
" Thank you so much Daisy. I won't let you down." I say smiling wide.
After saying our goodbyes, I put my coat on and send my mom text to pick me up. She arrives about 15 minutes later to pick me up. She smiles as I get into the car.
" Hey mom." I say getting into the car.
" Hiya. How'd it go?" She asks. I smile because this is the third time someone's asked me. I have a feeling there's going to be a fourth later.
" It went great mom." I answer. She nods.
" That's great. Do you like it?" She asks. I nod which causes her to smile. " Good. " She says.
The rest of the drive back home was silent. When we arrived home mom got called into work so she just ordered me a pizza and we parted ways. After a few minutes of debating I decide to change into something more comfortable. A loose shirt and some sweatpants.

When I finish my pizza I lay in bed looking up at my ceiling. What would it be like to be a vampire? I scold myself almost immediately. Why would I wonder that? I guess anyone would if they were around someone like Xavier. He doesn't seem like a monster or anything a vampire would act or look like. Looks are deceiving. My inner voice warns, although I already know.
Beep! My phone buzzes. I pick it up and unlock it. A message from Xavier.
Can I come over? A smile spreads across my face.
Sure. I reply.
Good cuz I'm already here. Lol. He replies fast.
I stand up and go over to my window to look out and see him standing in my back yard. While smiling, I lift my window up so he can come in. Strange how I have so much trust for a vampire. I step back and he jumps up onto the window seal and hoists himself into my room.
" Hey." He says, closing my window back and smiling.
" Hi." I say quietly and sit on my bed.
" I can't stand not being around you." He says, stepping closer to me. I nod.
" I like being around you as well." I say shyly and blush at how stupid I sound. He smiles.
I stand up and walk toward him and with no thought; I kiss him. Not just a little short kiss. I kiss him like I'm never going to be able to kiss him again. His shock falters shortly and he kisses me back. His soft lips melting into mine. His tongue lightly traces my bottom lip as I pull him closer against me. He takes a breath and says;
" Damn." Before continuing to kiss me.
A blush scorches my cheeks. I should be the one saying damn. His kisses are like a fire igniting on my lips. I give him a few soft short kisses then I pull away and look at him.
" What are you doing to me?" I sigh and fall onto my bed. He laughs with a smirk and gets on top of me.
" I haven't done anything yet." He winks causing yet another blush to cross my cheeks.
