"A vampire?" I ask, trying to hold back a laugh. Vampires are real? Let me guess fairys are real too? It's hard enough to try and believe that my dad was something supernatural. A seer, but how could he be a vampire? "How?"

"Yes Fairys are also real. And I'm telling the truth. Have I lied to you yet?" He asks, looking at me. I shrug, ignoring the fact he read my mind.

" I don't know. You could have." I reply quietly. Truth is I know that he hasn't.

" It's just hard to wrap my head around all this and try to believe it." I say truthfully. He nods understanding.

" I know and I'm sorry that I'm piling it all on you but you needed to know the truth." He replies watching me.

I think to myself, this is so crazy, all of this supernatural stuff and a random hot guy that's apparently a vampire. Wait! Vampire... It starts to settle in my mind, everything that I know about vampires. They're dangerous. But for some reason I don't feel scared or in danger around Xavier.

" I swore to your father that if something ever happened to him that I would protect you." He says sincerely.

That's so sweet. Let's not forget the fact that he's a vampire. I warn myself, but he obviously isn't going to hurt me, he would've done it by now. He laughs and I look up at him.

" Why are you laughing?" I ask, raising an eyebrow. He smiles, almost sweetly.

" I would never hurt you." He says, stepping closer to me. I look up to him as he steps closer.

" I know." I reply, feeling a blush cover my already natural pink cheeks. He nods while stepping even closer. The way he looks into my eyes makes it seems like he is wanting something from me. " What do you want?" I ask nervously. His staring is somewhat creepy in its own way but I look back anyway as I ask, not wanting to make it more awkward.

"Nothing." He replies, while blinking and stepping away from me.

"Oh." I say. He just puts his hands in his pockets, avoiding my glances his way. " So... " I add, looking towards the big round clock hanging on the wall. 7:19 PM. " Do you want to stay for dinner? I can tell mom that you're just a friend." I say, then immediately wonder why I asked him.

I don't even really know him but I guess now is a good time to get to know him. The feeling of safety with him near is almost luring. I can't stop myself from wondering what dad would think of this. Maybe he would be happy but I'll never know. I'm still trying to believe it all but I know he's telling the truth.

" I'm not really hungry." He says laughing. My face turns red from embarrassment.

   " Oh yeah." I reply. " You're a vampire." He nods.

" But I'll stick around if you want me to." He says, I blush but this time not from embarrassment.

" Would you tell me more about how you're a vampire?" I ask quietly.

" Sure." He answers before starting to explain it.
