My mam woke me at 7㏂ for school. I groaned knowing that today wasnt going to be easy. A new school in a differant country. We left early to be there to get a quick tour of the school.
As i walked to the front door i felt more nervous. Back in NewYork i wouldnt say i was miss popular but i wasn't hated and people liked me, but i knew being the kid wasnt going to get me there. "Ok so thats all the classrooms, here is your timetable" said Miss Murphy the principal snapping me out of my thoughts.
My mum said goodbye and then left. I sighed and made my way to first period Music. Well thats not bad. Music is one of my favourie subjects. Its the one subject that i care about. I knocked on the classroom door and the teacher answered. She introduced me to the class. "Ok so today we have a new student joining us from New York. Her name is Emma and im sure all of you will help show her around" I kept my head down but when i looked up i saw a boy staring at me. I looked back and just stared and he smiled i put my head back down. Then she told me where my seat was. I didnt know if that was a good seat? "Ok so Emma you can sit beside Charlie for this class" As soon as i looked up i saw Charlie smirking and all the girls surrounding him were shooting me glares all round. I then knew they all really liked him and i was the one that got to sit beside him. As i sat down i realised the teacher didnt mind us talking at all. I would have prefered to be told no talking but then Charlie started the conversation. "Hey Im Charlie and your Emma right"
"Ah ya i am" i said rather nervously. It kinda went silent then for the rest of the class until the teacher spoke "Ok so with your partner, the person beside you i want you to work together to write a song and perform it then. There isnt a set date yet, i want you to work hard with it but you need to start right away!" she said. Writing a song was good but with the person beside us i didn't know. Charlie looked happy but he must have noticed i didnt love the idea. "You know im good with music it wont be a disaster i think well work good together" he said. "Ahh ya i guess ok, we can work at mine my parents are always out with work, how about today at 5"? i asked. "Sure tht sounds great, so where do you live" After i explained where i lived it turned out me and Charlie were neighbours. Greeeat. It also turned out that me and Charlie had all our classes together which was good i suppose. He was the only one who wanted to talk to me. No one else cared about me but the girls cared alot about me talking to Charlie. Near the end of the day i heard a bit if of their conversation.
"Ugh she doesn't even know who he is like seriously. All this innocent shy girl stuff is a joke. She clearly knows he's in BAM". BAM? whats BAM? . Brushing it off i heard the bell and started packing up my things. As Charlie left he said "See you later Em ill be there at 5". "Ok see you then" I then saw the girls staring at us. O if looks could kill id be dead in a split second.
