Chapter 31

I woke up the next morning got ready and left as soon as I could. With all the drama from my Mam to my Dad telling me he was going to support me through everything and then the message. I just really wanted to see Charlie and hug him. Every morning he would be waiting outside my house at the wall, but when I got outside he wasn't there and my heart sank a little. I kept thinking of the negatives, of how he probably knew about the last message, and how Anon probably has told him. It made my stomach turn thinking about it. When I got to school I went to my locker straight away hoping he would be there but he wasn't. Throughout the day Charlie had been ignoring me. I was sad at the start but then I got annoyed I just wanted to speak to him.

"Em ok spill what is happening with you and Charlie, I can feel the tension between you to". Sophie asked. I wanted to avoid this at all costs. I had an idea of what was going on and even though I loved Soph I didn't want to tell.

"Oh nothing it's fine... so wheres Holly today" I asked trying to switch the coversation. "O she went home sick and I know everythings not fine, wha - "Sorry Soph gotta go music is calling".

Saved by the bell. I was happy that the bell had gone and it was music class. I liked having music at the end of the day because I got to just relax and do what I love but today I wanted to get their because it was a class where I was assigned with Charlie so he couldn't move away. We had to talk. When I got there he wasn't in the room and by the time the class was starting he still hadn't come which was so unlike him especially for music, he was usually the first there. Has he really skipped his favourite class just to be away from me? I thought. I felt hurt. It did hurt that he would skip just so he didn't have to speak to me. For the first time I really wanted music to end, I had to find Charlie and talk to him.

Finally the bell went. I went over to one of his friends. "Hey Jake am do you know where Charlie is" I asked hoping he'd know. "Uh no he just left before last class, said he wasn't feeling great. "O ok thanks", and with that I left and headed straight for the lake the one place I was nearly full sure he would be. He wasn't sick well physically sick anyway and I knew that.

Sure enough he was sitting there his.back against the tree. I walked over and sat in front of him.

"Hey" I said quietly. "Hey" Ok make things more awkward Charlie, thanks. "So um you missed music, Jake said you weren't feeling well"

"Ya i'm not feeling great". The way he said I knew that he knew about the message. "Listen Charlie about that message I - "Why didn't you tell me, you told me you would, you promised me" he looked up and I could see the hurt in his eyes. "I know, I know but I got it after our performance and we were both so happy and I didn't want to ruin it" I said tears welling up in my eyes.

"Charlie I know I should have told you I know that ok it's just you shouldn't have to deal with this, you may be my boyfriend but that doesn't mean you have to carry around my problems too, you have enough going on in your life alone"

Charlie looked at me and took my hands in his.

"Emma I know that I don't have to take your problems and try help you but I WANT to, thats the differance, I want you to tell me what your thinking, I want you to know that i'll help because I am your boyfriend and i'm here for you."

When he finished I felt a tear on my cheek. I didn't bother to wipe it away I just kissed him. We kissed with passion and I knew he truly ment what he said.

"Thank you Charlie and I promise to be honest with you promise promise" I said laughing.

"Good"

We were just sitting talking when Charlie got a message. He smiled at it. "Who is it"? I asked being nosey.

"Leo ! he's coming down tomorrow for the weekend isn't that great" he said with a big smile. "Ya greaat" I said trying to sound happy but really I wasnt happy. Leo despises me and I guess this weekend I was spending it alone. "I cant wait !! We can all hang out watch movies do a twitcam, chill out" Charlie said pure buzzing. "Ya I think i'll leave you guys to it this weekend I mean i'll hang out with Soph and Holly"

"You don't want to hang out with us" he asked slightly dissapointed. "No it's not that it's just maybe you guys should just yanno spend some time.together as Bam"

"Em dont be silly of course your gonna hang out with us your my girlfriend" he said giving me a side hug and kiss on the cheek.

"O Leo just texted he's coming tomorrow!! he doesn't have school, guess it's a day off for me".

"Lucky" "Awww don't be like that Em smiiile" he said tickling me. I started laughing and he tickled me more. I was out of breath. "o o okk st stooop i cant breath" I said through my laughs. He eventually stopped.

"Em whens your birthday again"? Charlie asked. "The 28th of this month" I said. "WHAT?, and you never said anything WHY?" he asked pure shocked. "Because it's not a big deal" I said shrugging my shoulders. "Ahhh yes yes it is your 17 and it will be your first birthday in England"

"Charlie I honestly don't want a big fuss" I said. "ok ok well keep it simple". But I knew he was lying straight away. We finished the day together just relaxing, it was perfect, now I was actually dreading the weekend.
