(A/N: Sorry that every to f always seems to happen in the kitchen. I mean it is a mission and I keep coming up with fight scenes in the kitchen. I will try and put some in different places but the beginning of this chapter had to be in the kitchen. It was the only place that made sense.)
~Ryley's POV~
I walked into the kitchen and saw Tyler and some guy talking.
"Hey Ryley." Tyler said. I nodded and went to the fridge.
"Tyler will you tell me again how the hell Lizzie got a first mate and then her true mate?" This random guy asked. One more word and that will do it. Hayden was a mistake. Lizzie explained to me already that he had started to spread rumors about them two. They had gotten into a fight and he scratched her across the neck. It looked like a mating mark. The next day one of her friends asked her how she met her mate. When Hayden heard this he started to spread rumors about them. When people talk about that it makes my blood boil.
"I don't think we should talk about this now Zach." Tyler said. He knew what would happen if he said one more word about Lizzie. This Zach guy should shut up about right now.
"It was just a question and if her and her mate are fully mated then why isn't she pregnant with pups? I mean she was mated twice." Yep that did it. I slammed the fridge door shut and spun around grabbing Zach by the neck. I slammed him up aginst the wall in the hall.
"RYLEY STOP!!!! HE IS MY MATE!!! STOP!!!!" Tyler screamed, but it was to late, I instantly gave into Tanner. Zach kicked me three times in the stomach. I dropped him and fell to the floor holding my stomach. Zach kicked me across the face. I snapped up and snarled leaping at him. I tackled him to the ground and started to punch him. He brought his knee up into my stomach again. I rolled off of him and stood up. He kicked me and I felw into the wall behind me. By this time we were in the game room. Pain shot through my back when I came into contact with the wall. I got up and looked just in time to dodge the punch Zach was trying to throw at me. I punched him four times and he fell to the floor. I got on top of him and started to repeatedly punch him in the face. Someone came behind me and grabbed my shoulders. I turned around and punched them. I regreted it the moment I looked into Lizzie's eyes. I just punched my mate and this fight started because I was trying to protect her.
"Ryley go to my room now!" Jessie said in the calmest tone she could muster up. With one last look at Lizzie I nodded and walk up stairs to Jessie's room and sat on her bed.
~Lizzie's POV~
Ryley punched me. I know it was out of rage but I still can't get over the fact that he punched me. I was currently sitting on the floor holding my jaw in my hand. When he punched me he knocked me on my ass and it still hurts.
"Okay, Lizzie get uo and sit at the table. Tyler and Jessie get Zach up and take him to the pack doctor. Now!" Chloe snapped. everyone started to move instantly. I heard the freezer door open and close. then I felt something cold on my hand.
"Here Lizzie use this. It will go away soon. The ice will help the swelling." Chloe said sitting down beside me. I took the ice pack and put it aginst my jaw.
"Why did he do it Chloe?" I asked. I could feel the tears about to fall. Chloe wrapped me in a protective hug and i let the tears fall.
"Shhh" Chloe cooed in my ear. I started to calm down. Eventually I was completely calm. I took the ice pack off my jaw and looked at Chloe.
"Will you go for a run with me?" I asked. She looked hesitant at first, then I used my puppy dig eyes and she couldn't say no.
"Fine!" She huffed out. I smiled and dashed for the back yard with Chloe on my heels.
~Jessie's POV~
After I helped Tyler take Zach to the doctor because of the number Ryley did on his face, I went up to my room to have a talk with Ryley. I got up the stairs and went straight to my room. I walked in and saw Ryley sitting on my bed with his head in hid hands. I could tell he was crying because his shoulders were shaking.
"Ryley? Why did you hit Lizzie? I mean I know it was an accident but still, Ryley you hit my siste-" I started but he cut me off.
"I know Jessie! I know. I was blinded by rage, I couldn't control Tanner. It was like he was going to kill anyone who got in his way of killing Zach. Jessie he scares me sometimes. He is unpredictable and it scares the living shit out of me. I mean I know he is my wolf and everything but damn." Ryley explained.
"Ryley I understand. I feel the same way about Kninea. Okay?" I asked and he nodded.
"Stay in here for tonight and get your self together. Choe is going to come and tlak to you in a little bit. do you neeed annything for yours and Lizzie's room?" I asked.
"Yea just tell Lizzie to get me some clothes. She should know which ones I am talking about." he said with a sigh.
"Alright, Chloe will bring them with her when she comes in here." I explained. He just nodded. I walked out and went to find Chloe.
'Chloe where are you?'
'My room, time to switch?'
'Yeah but go to Lizzie first and tell her Ryley needs clothes because he is staying in my room tonight.'
'Okay' with that I cut the mind link off.
"Jessie?" Max asked as he walked up.
"Yeah"
"Why is Ryley in our room?" he questioned.
"It's a long story but in the end he ended up hitting Lizzie and now me and Chloe are sperating them for tonight so they can have time to think. So we will be staying in a guest room and he is going to be staying in out room. Max it is just for one night." I explained. He nodded and walked off.
"Jessie we need to talk." Chase said walking up beside me. I groaned inwardly and walked into the living room. Chase followed me.
"What is it because I am dealing with some-" I started to make up and excuse but I was hushed when his lips came into contact with mine. At first I didn't kiss back then I melted into him. I kissed back.
"Jessie?" Came Lizzie's voice from behind me. I broke the kiss and truned around. She was standing there looking at me. She looked hurt.
"Lizzie I-" I started but was cut off again. She ran off rying. I went to go after her but Chase pulled me back.
"Don't Chase!" I snapped pulling my arm from his hand. I went after her and found her in my room snuggling up to Ryley.
