~Ryley’s POV~
I sat beside Lizzie’s hospital bed in hopes that she won’t be out for longer than a month. I won’t be able to stand another five and a half years without her. I still can’t get those words out of my head she said before she passed out. ‘Then all supernatural creatures will be destroyed because we don’t belong in their world.’ Before I caught her, fear flashed across her face. I don’t know what she saw but I sure as hell know one thing. I will be having a talk with Suki once she wakes up.
-Eight years later-
“Dad?” I heard the most beautiful voice ever come from behind me. I turned around to see my fourteen year old daughter standing there with Lizzie. I sighed and walked over to them both. I kissed Lizzie on the head and hugged Bailee. Lizzie has gotten so much weaker since she collapsed that day she gave me The Prophecy. She woke up about a month after. Jessie and Chloe both agreed not to take her position. They said that she will wake up and that she will be better.
“What is it Bailee?” I asked looking at her. She smiled and I knew what she wanted.
“Fine!! I will enroll you in a real school so you can try and find your mate.” I said giving in. She has been asking me for weeks to enroll her in a actual school instead of making her stay in the castle and learn seltic. Lizzie’s Irish accent has completely come back. I am getting one and so is Bailee and Max.
“I FOUND IT!!!!!!” I heard someone scream from up the stairs. Jessie came running down the stairs waving her arms like a wild person. Chloe was right behind her.
“What did you find Aunt Jessie?” Bailee asked.
“I know why Lizzie is like this!!” She squealed.
“W-w-why am I-I li-like this J-Jessie?” Lizzie coughed out. I looked at her as she spoke and I could feel it causing her pain. It was strong enough to even cause me pain. I looked back to Jessie and she was pulling her sleeve up.
“Can I talk to Karma?” She asked. Lizzie nodded and closed her eyes. Her eyes snapped open and they were blood red.
“What did you want to tal-” Karma started to say but was cut off. Jessie extended her claw and cut her wrist. She held it up to Karma.
“Drink.” She said and instantly, without another word, Karma was drinking Jessie’s blood. I saw Lizzie’s color coming back. Jessie’s color started to drain.
‘DO SOMETHING!!!! SHE IS TAKING ALL HER BLOOD!!!!’ Tanner screamed into my head. I pulled Jessie’s arm from Karma’s mouth. Her head snapped up as Jessie fell unconscious in my arms. I picked her up and walked to Chloe.
“Take her to the doctor and tell him that Karma drank most of her blood.” I said handing Jessie off to Chloe. She nodded and carried Jessie towards the hospital wing in the castle. I looked over to Karma to see her slowly backing our daughter into a wall. I ran over and stood in front of Karma. I looked down on her. (A/N: Lizzie is like two inches shorter than Ryley.)
“Back up. Do not ever let me catch you near my daughter again.” I snarled, walking forward, making her walk backwards. She closed her eyes, but kept walking backwards. I walked with her and kept pace. She suddenly stopped and her eyes snapped open. It was Lizzie. She was healthy. She put her hand on my chest and I stopped walking. I looked at her and she smiled.
“Lizzie baby, I missed you.” I said picking her up in a hug and spinning her around.
“I missed you to Ryley, but where are my babies?” She asked. I set her down and she saw Bailee.
“I know your father already said yes, but you are being enrolled in a real school.” Lizzie said walking up to her. Bailee squealed and hugged her.
