I've added some parts to this chapter and taken some out. I hope you enjoy it.
The river above is where Chloe goes.
~Chloe's POV~
I watched Lizzie cuss out Bella with a smirk on my face when a scent hit me and just completely caught me off guard. Apples and pine. It was delicious. I sniffed some more and finally found where it came from just to see something that broke my heart in half. Linda was in this guys lap. When I looked at the guy, Zora came out from hibernation.
'Chloe, mate. Mine. I want him! Chloe go and get him. He is ours. Claim him. He is ours and only ours.' Zora kept repeating the same words over and over. Mate. Mine. I couldn't move. He looked like he wanted her in his lap. He had her in his arms. Like that's is how they were meant to be. He looked happy. Lizzie was looking at me now.
'Lizzie he is my mate!!!' Was all I could get out and I ran. I ran past them. I saw his head snap up and his eyes go black. He growled, but made no move to come after me. I ran out of the cafeteria. I ran outside to the woods. I just kept running. I shifted and ran faster. I ran until I came to the creek Jessie, Lizzie and I use to come to all the time. I flopped down and rested my head on my paws. I heard pounding on the ground just before his scent washed over me. I'm glad my wolf blended in with the forest. I was black with stunning electric blue eyes. I shifted back and just sat on the ground. I'm glad I had a hidden pair of clothes in one of these trees. He came up right behind me. His wolf is dark brown with a white stomach, paws and ears. He cocked his head at me and I started to tear up remembering why I was out here. He didn't want me. I threw him a pair of shorts. He shifted and just looked at me.
"Why did you run from me?" He asked sitting beside me. He was about half an inch taller than me. He had dark brown almost black hair. He was very nicely built with a beautifully tanned skin tone.
"I r-ran b-be-because yo-you d-don't w-wa-want me." I stuttered. He didn't say anything which just confirmed my theory. Zora whined before she started to howl in pain. I put my head in my hands and started to cry.
"Chloe?" he asked.
"What do you want!?" I shouted. "You basically just rejected me. What could you possibly want from me?" I whispered the last part as I finally felt broken.
"I would never reject you Chloe. You are my other half. My soul mate. My love. You are my everything. Chloe Harris will you accept me, Chance Wynter as your mate." He asked. I looked at him in awe. He wasn't just messing around. He actually was telling the truth.
"I, Chloe Harris accept you Chance Wynter as my mate." I said trying to hide the excitement in my voice. He grabbed my upper arms, pulling me into his lap. I giggled and looked back at him. He eyes were full of love.
"You know when you ran earlier." He said.
"Yes I remember that. I also remember a distinctive growl." I answered with a giggle.
"Yeah well I don't like things that belong to me to be running from me." He said in return.
"Oh is that so?" I asked, enjoying the tingles coming from our body contact.
"We need to get back to school Chloe. Lunch is ending soon." He said making me whine. I shifted in his lap, shredding my clothes. He smiled and shifted also.
We raced through the woods before we shifted back and got dressed. We walked back into school hand in hand. I got tackled to the floor by a worried Lizzie.
"I will personally kill you the next time you run off like that." She snapped. Chance growled.
"Oh shut it pup." Lizzie said in his direction. She got off of me and looked at Chance. She walked straight up to him and snarled threateningly low. "If you hurt her one more time I will find you and cut your fucking balls off. Do you understand me?" She stared him straight in the eye, unwavering. He looked down, he had held her gaze as long as was thought respectful to an Alpha.
