Chapter 30: Finally Free

~Lizzie's POV~

Ryley had broken the restraints in Jessie's lab. He now stood in front of me, my side screaming in pain every time I moved. I backed up against a wall and looked over to Jessie. She was still fighting one of the rogues. Fuck. Ryley shifted and his eyes were changing from Tanner's to blood red like the S̄ạtw̒ tā s̄ī dæng. Is he turning into one? I didn't mean for this to happen, I didn't want to hurt him, but he hurt me. I heard his low snarl and the beat of his paws as he charged for me. I closed my eyes and waited for the impact, but it never came. I slowly opened my eyes to see Jessie snapping at Ryley, who had her pinned by her chest and back legs. She wouldn't let him near her neck. Every time he would make a move for her neck she would snap his muzzle or ear. I tried to move, but my side continued to scream in pain. I tried to ignore it as I stood looking around for Kevin. He was fighting off the others who were trying to get to me. I focused on Suki, I can't let Jessie get hurt. I felt the shift coming and seconds later I was my stone grey wolf with stunning green eyes. I felt my body start to reject the sliver that was injected into me with the knife. The pain was almost unbearable, but I tried to push the thoughts further and further away. I growled at Ryley as he tried to get at Jessie's neck again, his head snapped to me as he released Jessie and slowly started to walk over to me, a menacing look on his face.

"You think you can just reject me and get away with it?" He questioned. I stood my ground as he came closer.

"I already have. I am no longer yours and you are no longer mine. I am Kevin's now and you can't hurt me anymore." I said looking him in the eyes.

"Your also an unmated she-wolf who is going into heat. Any wolf who can over power you can have you and I have become stronger. I agree with Tanner, you are ours. No one else's, no one can have you!!!" He yelled the last part and quickly lunged for me. I dodged him and sunk my teeth into his back leg. He howled in pain as I started to thrash my head back and forth. He turned around and snapped at my snout trying to get me to release him, but I refused. I started to thrash my head harder. Before I knew it his leg was being thrown across the room. The taste of blood in my mouth. All I could see was red now. He was howling in pain. I took and raised my paw and slashed his ribs open as he howled in pain louder.

"Stop! You're killing me!" He said and shifted

'I don't care! You are a harm to me. To my baby, To my mate, And to my pack. You are no longer in this pack Ryley, Therefore you are a rouge, And rouges are forbidden to step foot on my territory, I have the right to kill you.' I said as my full alpha power took over and I shifted.

"Jessie!" He cried out.

"It's for your own good Ryley." Jessie said throwing me my gun.

"It's a shame it had to end like this." I said as I cocked the gun and aimed it at his uninjured leg and pulled the trigger.

"STOP!" He cried out.

"Jessie, Get my special bullets." I commanded.

"Yes Alpha." She said and hurried out the door.

"Lizzie...What are you doing??" Kevin asked.

¨I'm doing what I realized I should have done a long time ago.¨ I snarled as Jessie reappeared with my bullets. I took the regular bullets out of my gun and then replaced them with my specially made silver and wolfsbane bullets. They have wolfsbane inside of them and when the silver pierces the skin the wolfsbane is released. A dose strong enough to kill me. I walked a bit closer to Ryley and cocked the gun.

"You caused this for yourself, not me. You're the one who cheated on me. You could have figured out I would find out eventually. You fucking disgust me and I HAD KIDS WITH YOU!" I snarled the last part. "Now they are Kevin's kids and to think I was going to marry you." I snapped. I took the ring off and threw it at him. "Goodbye Ryley. Have fun in hell where you belong." I said and pulled the trigger. All the snarling and snapping behind me stopped. I looked around to see the rogues slowly running away or crawling, depending how badly they were injured. I felt the silver seeping into my bloodstream. I started to sway back and forth. Before I passed out I saw Max and Bailee again, but this time I was standing in front of them, they were both covered in blood and they had evil smiles on their faces, their eyes were blood red. No white to be seen anywhere. The Prophecy slowly started to return to my mind. I fell into someone's arms and then the darkness consumed me.
