NOT ON PURPOSE

Chapter 1     Payback

Waking up to the sound of bird chirping is so much better than the alarm on my phone.

Last night was kind of chilly so I found it's better if I could stay underneath my warm blanket a little longer

but i determined not to because I walk to school so I can't be late.

Forcefully, I get off my bed, sliding my feet into a pair of furry bunny slippers and drag it into the bathroom.

As I got back from the bathroom, I found SeulYoung doing her gymnastic routine in my room.

" SeulYoung-ah, palli naga ( hurry get out ) ," I said, pointing my finger to my bedroom door.

" Ah, joseonghabnida ( sorry ), didn't see you there ," she said, smiling at me before leaving my room in abnormal way.

SeulYoung left through my bathroom that connected to her room instead of just using the main bedroom door.

I could tell she was asking for a favor — making her breakfast. But I used to ignore her because that's what big sisters do.

at school

As soon as I reached my locker, I quickly picked the books I needed for my very first lesson today.

Not forgetting, while drinking my most beloved, plain water. I now realized that I'm addicted to it which is very unpleasant to hear.

I locked my locker and turned around when I suddenly bumped into someone.

The not tightened water bottle lid have made the water splatter around, running freely in the air, landing on the most unwanted girl's face, cool kids.

Yes, cool kids.

A word that frightened kids like me.

" Yah! How dare you?! " NaHyun yelled at me in the face and I bet it was loud enough to scare two tigers.

"Joseonghabnida, i didn't mean to, really. I was just — "

" Nahyun-ah, your mascara's dripping a lot right now "

I was cut off by her boyfriend who's been there all along.

" Ah, jeongmal? ( really ) "

" Ne ( yes ) " SunWoo replied as he lifted NaHyun's chin to face him and wiped off the dripping mascara.

Now that's what people called, cringe

I had to remain calm because I don't dare to vomit in her face.

So, here's the conclusion of this whole mess, plain water in the morning has really made my life miserable these days.

It was past 10 seconds of cringe moments I have ever experienced that wins against a giant version of lizard which also known as crocodile I fed last year at the zoo.

I stood there awkwardly looking at the two love birds trying to fix that freakin' dripping mascara.

Uncomfortable, I made a step to escape from those two but were caught right handed in the shoulder.

" Where do you think you're going? " Nahyun asked me with some sort of evil tone in one of the Barbie movies.

On the other hand, I tried my best to hold the pain in my stomach, telling myself not to laugh from the fact that her boyfriend, SunWoo is very good at fixing makeup.

NaHyun's face was all covered with her black mascara

until at one point, she could no more scare 2 tigers, she could scare 2 JuOn.

" You need a payback for good  ,"  NaHyun said hitting me in the forehead with the back of her hand.

Blood dripped down my eyes as her ring made a cut on my forehead.

Everything around me seemed to get darker and I couldn't tell whether I'm standing on my feet or not

and once, everything turned pitch black.
