Chapter 13 Rewarded

Slowly her eyes opened as the alarm started to ring into her eardrums. SeulKyung instantly turned it off. Even though she had the entire 8 hours of sleep, still she felt tired from yesterday.

She pulled her blanket roughly, covering her whole as she decided to go back to sleep. The next 15 minutes passed by. Her alarm started ringing again. It rang very loudly although SeulKyung was still in the middle of her deep sleep.

Suddenly, her alarm sounded bizarre this time. It wasn't even an alarm that rang, it was an incoming call. Forcefully she reached out for her phone and adjusted her eyes on the screen.

" SunWoo? " she asked herself, frowning.

She hesitated to pick it up although she was very curious about the reason why he called her early in the morning. Time passed by, her phone stopped ringing. SeulKyung didn't decline it nor pick it up. Seconds later, her phone rang again.

Waves of question started washing her head. The only best way to find the answer, is to just pick it up.

" Yeoboseyo? ( hello ) "

" Good morning, " SunWoo greeted her.

" What do you want? " she asked coldly, ignoring his greet.

" Remember the deal we made at the rooftop last time? "

" What's wrong with it? "

"I'll return you a reward like I promised, "

" Jinjja?! ( really ) " she asked excitedly. From her sloppy, puffy eyes that could barely open just now, turned into a wider than the ocean eyes.

" As usual, meet me at the rooftop after school, "

" Sure thing, bye " she said all in friendly-like tone and hung up before he could reply.

Her day was good so far. She even planned to go to school early that day. Happily she walked into the bathroom when she realized it was only 10 minutes before she's late to school.

SeulKyung washed up less than 60 seconds, changed her pajamas into her school uniform, brushed her hair as fast as lightning and grabbed her backpack quickly.

Rather than sliding down the staircase, she likes to make an even daring stunt. She skipped 3 staircases at once and slipped, falling flat on her face. It made her upper lips looked a little bit swollen though that won't be an excuse for her to be late.

She then rushed to school without saying goodbye to her parents and little sister. By doing all of those,

she managed not to get late to school.

Sweats dripped down her temples to her neck. Her heart pounded very fast, making her breathing went complicated. Although luckily, she survived school until its very end. The school bell rang as the clock struck 3pm. All the students picked up their belongings, grabbed their backpacks and went straight to home. But SeulKyung didn't do the same as the other kids did.
